Question 1

My baby needed to upgrade to a flow 3 but I was using the old version which ones would be comparable to a flow 3 from the old version?

Accepted Answer

I would say 1. My daughter used old version flow 1 and the comparable size of the new version was flow 3. But the flow of the new version nipple is terrible. Baby sucks and sucks and barely gets milk out. I don’t know what they changed something that was good.

Question 2

How long can it be used?

Accepted Answer

Until your baby needs a faster flow or until there's a tear in the hole. You should inspect daily for wear and tear

Question 3

I thought size 3 was for 3 months +. Has this changed recently? I don’t want to get the wrong size for my avent bottles.

Accepted Answer

Hello! This is the new Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple. This new Philips Avent Natural Bottle with Natural Response Nipple creates a personalized feeding experience by focusing more on the baby's drinking behavior than only on their age. Choosing a bottle nipple that responds to the baby's drinking behavior means that the age chart serves more as a guide. This newfound flexibility allows parents to increase or decrease the nipple flow as they follow their baby's unique lead. With five Natural Response Nipple sizes available, you can choose a bottle nipple that is comfortable for their baby’s drinking pace, and that syncs with the flow rate at the breast: Flow 1(0 month), Flow 2( 0 month + (recommended size to start off with), Flow 3(1 Month+) Flow 4(3 months+) and Flow 5(6 months+).

Question 4

Will these nipples work with Phillips anti-colic bottles without the anti-colic valve that comes with said bottles?

Accepted Answer

If you are asking about using these nipples for the Avent Anti Colic with the green bill, yes they actually do fit! It seems all Avent bottles are interchangeable! I use both with my baby! I prefer the natural over the green bill due to leaking!
