Wynn's Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner - Cleans & Regenerates Blocked DPF Soot Filters - Reduces Soot Formation & Emissions - Compatible with Diesel & Hybrid Diesel up to B30-325ml

I felt obligated to write a review for this product because I cannot believe that it actually worked! The particle filter light kept coming on with my BMW X6. I had tried taking it for a few long drives, as some people suggested, to unclog the DPF but to no avail. I then put in a bottle of Wynn’s DPF cleaner and topped up with £50 of fuel before going on a journey of around 60 miles on the motorway. After that trip, the light then disappeared and hasn’t come back on now in a few weeks of driving. I was worried that I would have to the replace the DPF, which I know can be an expensive job, so this product really is a God-send. Just to point out: when I put in a bottle of this product, I let the fuel in the car run right down before doing so. The fuel reserve light was basically on, and I literally only had around 10 miles of driving left in the tank. I think this is the best way to do it because the product then basically gets straight into the system, with minimal dilution. I cannot recommend this item highly enough. 5* *Update* Ok, so this item did indeed get rid of the DPF light coming on but, after a few weeks, the light did come back on unfortunately. I then tried another couple of bottles of this item, but it did not resolve the issue this time. I then purchased the Veepeak OBD II Diagnostic Scan Tool, which plugs into your car. I also bought the BMW BimmerLink App. What these things enable you to do is basically clear the error codes on the DPF and then “force” a regen. You basically connect your phone to the OBD tool, and select DPF from the interface menu. You then need to request a DPF generation. After doing this, go back to the main interface and select Error Memory. When it loads up, then select Digital Diesel Electronics and clear all the error codes. Once you’ve done this, go back to main interface and select DPF and it should show up as YES under Regeneration Requested. Your car will basically not Regenerate itself unless you remove the error codes, so you must remove them to force a Regeneration. The interface may be a bit different, depending on which app you use, but they should all be pretty similar. You can purchase the Veepeak OBD II Diagnostic Scan Tool from Amazon. It’s a very handy device to have.

When the engine light came on in my BMW 320d, my first port of call was to buy a basic ODB2 reader and found that the source of the issue was possibly the NOX sensor. As I was not 100% sure, I generalised it to being a fault somewhere in the exhaust system and thought I would give this a go. In the meantime I booked in for a potential £750 repair bill. I put the DPF Cleaner into half a tank of the existing diesel and then topped up with premium diesel. I emptied the tank on moderate runs to no effect. I then topped up again with premium fuel from BP and did quite a intense journey up North for a holiday and up some steep hills (low speed, high revs). The engine light cleared just 2 days before the car was due to go in! I can only assume that the combination of Wynn's DPF cleaner and premium fuel cleaned the system enough to rectify the issue, potentially saving me a lot of money!

This DPF cleaner 100% works. Other brands I've tried did work eventually but required two bottles before the warning indicator turned off. I have regularly purchased this product over the past four years and I get up to six months driving per application around town before I get another DPF warning. I usually half fill my tank and add the cleaner prior to a long journey of roughly a 60 mile round trip on the motorway. It's best to drive one gear lower at slightly higher revs as this ensures that the emmiting exhaust fumes are much hotter which greatly helps to burn away the soot from the filter and speeds up the process. Hope this helps.

I tried it. I saw no difference in engine performance or fuel efficiency. It's not cheap.

My Ford Kuga dpf warning light came on and I checked the Ford app which said the filter was at 86% full. I had approximately a quarter of a tank of diesel so I added a bottle of Wynn's dpf cleaner and filled up. I went on a drive of approximately 80 miles at varying speeds and checked the app which now showed around 78%. I continued driving normally until the tank was back to a quarter full. The app now gave a reading of 56%. I was extremely happy so far but decided to repeat the process. After a second bottle, my dpf reading on the app was down to 39%. I'm over the moon with the results. I haven't put any more Wynn's in since, but over the next few days it has now dropped to 37%. I would call this liquid miraculous. Very highly recommended.

I love in a cold climate, this means that regens often don't happen because the exhaust doesn't get hot enough. So my exhaust ends up smelling sour and pungent. I added one bottle to a 1/4 tank and the smell was gone in 1 hour, turbo spools up much faster now from better airflow.

Utilicé este regenerador de filtro de partículas diésel de Wynn’s varias veces en mi antiguo coche porque empezaba a dar problemas típicos del FAP, sobre todo fallos de regeneración y encendido del testigo en el cuadro, y la verdad es que me sorprendió bastante el resultado. En mi caso el coche hacía mucha ciudad y trayectos cortos, así que el filtro de partículas terminaba acumulando suciedad con facilidad y empezaban a aparecer avisos relacionados con la regeneración. Antes de plantearme limpiezas más caras o posibles averías mayores, decidí probar este tratamiento y la experiencia fue bastante positiva. Lo que más me gustó es que realmente ayudaba al coche a regenerar mejor el filtro. Varias veces me apareció el famoso testigo del FAP y, después de utilizar el producto junto con un trayecto algo más largo por carretera, el aviso terminaba desapareciendo y el coche volvía a funcionar con normalidad. Evidentemente no hace milagros si el filtro está completamente obstruido o dañado, pero para mantenimientos preventivos o problemas leves/intermedios sí me pareció bastante útil y mucho más económico que acudir directamente al taller para ciertas limpiezas. Otro punto positivo es que el uso es muy sencillo. Simplemente se añade al depósito de combustible siguiendo las instrucciones y el propio sistema ayuda a limpiar y favorecer la regeneración del filtro mientras conduces. Además de ayudar con el testigo y las regeneraciones, también noté el coche algo más fino en funcionamiento después de usarlo, especialmente en aceleraciones y en trayectos donde antes parecía más “ahogado”. También considero interesante que ayude a reducir emisiones y mantener el sistema diésel en mejores condiciones, algo importante en coches modernos con FAP que hacen mucha conducción urbana. El bote de 325 ml cunde bastante bien para el tratamiento y me parece un producto práctico para tener a mano si el coche empieza a mostrar síntomas típicos relacionados con regeneraciones incompletas. Eso sí, creo importante dejar claro que este tipo de productos funcionan mejor como mantenimiento o ayuda preventiva. Si el filtro está muy saturado o existe una avería mecánica real, evidentemente no sustituye una reparación profesional. En mi experiencia personal, las veces que lo utilicé consiguió quitar el testigo y mejorar claramente el comportamiento del coche, evitando problemas mayores durante bastante tiempo. Como punto mejorable, diría que los resultados dependen mucho del estado del vehículo y del tipo de conducción. Además, conviene acompañarlo de trayectos largos o revoluciones adecuadas para favorecer la regeneración. Aun así, me parece un producto muy recomendable para motores diésel con problemas ocasionales de FAP o para mantenimiento preventivo en coches que hacen mucha ciudad. Valoración final: 5/5 estrellas Pros: * Ayuda bastante en regeneraciones del FAP. * Varias veces eliminó el testigo del filtro. * Fácil de usar en el depósito. * Muy útil en coches diésel que hacen ciudad. * Puede evitar limpiezas más costosas. * Mejora sensación de funcionamiento del motor. Contras: * No hace milagros si el filtro está muy obstruido. * Funciona mejor acompañado de trayectos largos.

Ogni tanto sulla mia AUDI Q3 mi si accende la spia arancione avaria motore che indica secondo diagnosi gruppo farfallato sporco o filtro antiparticolato. Ho scoperto questo prodotto e l’ho utilizzato più volte, risolvendo il problema. Il mio è un 2.0 Diesel e utilizzo questo prodotto ogni 4000 Km specialmente se so di far lunghe percorrenze. NOTE: Quando si è a riserva al distributore inserire il prodotto e poi far il pieno o almeno fare 40lt , e cercate di fare lunghe percorrenze. A me dà ottimi risultati CONSIGLIO
