- Effortless Eyeliner Pencil, Belgian Chocolate, Long-Wearing

I’ve been on the hunt for a clean eyeliner that actually performs, and the Honeybee Gardens Effortless Eye Liner in Jet Set Black is officially the winner. It is rare to find a product that checks all the "green" boxes without sacrificing quality, but this pencil delivers on every front. The pigmentation is incredible a true, deep black that goes on with a single swipe and the texture is buttery smooth, gliding across the lid without any of the frustrating tugging or pulling usually found in natural pencils. Despite being vegan and gluten-free, it has impressive staying power and doesn't smudge into my crease or migrate under my eyes by the end of the day. It’s gentle enough for my sensitive eyes yet bold enough for a sharp, dramatic look. If you want a high-performance, conscious liner that rivals the big luxury brands, this is absolutely the one to get.

This is a soft grayish green color.. not bright emerald green as the name suggests, which is misleading. That being said, I am very happy with the color as it is subtle and natural looking and enhances my green eyes. It is smooth to apply and stays put. (Most of my old eyeliners would bleed into to messy smudges under my eyes.) For removal I use a little jojoba oil on a tissue or cotton ball. I have very sensitive skin but have had no irritation or puffiness and was even able to use it comfortably shortly after an allergic reaction to some sunscreen. It is almost impossible to find green eyeliner recently, so I was glad to find this, especially in a brand that tries to produce an ethically made product. Good value too.

I like the color, but it comes out a little thick around the eye. It might just be the way that I apply it, but it’s pretty thick. Otherwise, though, a great product.

After being diagnosed with celiac disease, finding gluten-free and certified celiac safe items has been a huge challenge. And just my luck, I decided to become more committed to wearing makeup AFTER being diagnosed. So through doing some educational research on Reddit, as one does, I came across a list of celiac safe makeup items and brands which led me to Honeybee Gardens. I've been using their products since spring of 2025. I've never had any allergic reactions or felt like I've been glutened. This item is marketed as being an eye liner, but i personally use it as a lip line. It doesn't have a bad or noticeable taste either, so anyone in need of gluten-free lip liners can use this as an alternative. I really appreciate this brand being gluten-free when so many makeup brands never even consider having that as an option. I have purchased multiple items from Honeybee Gardens. They're affordable, reliable, and get the job done. That's all a celiac girly can dream of.

I bought this liner in green and metallic gunmetal gray. They’re both beautiful! The green on my inner water line enhanced my hazel eyes so well and didn’t cause excessive irritation. It’s more subtle than dark brown or black. I’ll wear it the most, from now on to bring out the green in my eyes. The gunmetal gray is so gorgeous. I love the way these liners go on so smoothly and with no skin irritation. I specifically chose these because they are in real wood, so the liner won’t separate from the plastic fake wood, rendering the liner unable to be sharpened. I’m so done with liners that aren’t in real wood. I was very impressed by the European standards this eye liner meets, which are far more stringent than American standards. That’s important to me and I could really feel the difference on my water line. The quality is excellent and the shades are beautiful. Plus, they’re not expensive. These eyeliners are a fraction of the cost of Too Faced, Chanel, Lancome, Pat McGrath, etc., and they perform twice as well. I’ve worn so many different brands and they all have the same problem: the liner pulls away from the fake wood and it happens really fast. These eyeliner pencils are an excellent value. I will be exclusively using this eyeliner from now on. For real wood lip liners, try Morph. I finally said goodbye to my Holy Grail Chanel Nude lip liner, after 30 years , because of the fake wood issue. I found a shade in Morph that matches. MAC lip liner is also in real wood.

Nice color, goes on smoothly, however, does not stay on well. After several hours, I noticed that I have eyeliner on my face below my eyes. If it wasn’t for that, I would give it five stars, but I don’t want to have to think about whether or not my eyeliner is smudging on my face. I wish it stayed on better because it is highly rated for its cleaning ingredients.

I took a chance ordering this eyeliner without knowing the brand and I'm so glad I did. It is a really nice formula that glides on easily and smoothly. Some eyeliners are so hard to put on and feel really rough when applying but this one was great from the start. The color is a really nice dark brown that looks great with blue eyes.

My small town’s pharmacy brought in a display of Honeybee cosmetics and I fell in love with this liner. The pharmacy never reordered Honeybee products again (so mad!). So happy to find it here! Still the best liner ever! Heavily pigmented colour and super soft and smooth ...plus cruelty free!
