Works as advertised for Phony tanks.
I purchased the two head HP compressor from Tuxing to fill my Phony SCUBA tanks for short dives. The compressor works at filling my 2L Phony SCUBA tanks, but it takes longer than I expected. I tried using the air that was coming out of the compressor and found that it had a taste. The little Blue filter that came with the compressor did not filter the air very well. So, I order the Tuxing water separator & the Activated Coal filters. Those added filters removed any bad taste and dried the air coming out of the compressor. One thing that I think is importance for new users is that, as you begin to fill a tank, you do a soapy water bubble test to check for any loose connections or O-ring leak problems. If you decide to try and fill an 80cu/ft tank, be aware that it will take more than one hour to get your tank up to pressure. And you must always monitor the temperature gauge. This Model compressor does not have an auto temperature or pressure shut down option. One other concern is that the compressor is very loud and vibrates a lot. I suggest you wear hearing protection, and lock down the compressor to something solid, so that the compressor doesn’t travel while it is in operation. Beware that the compressor draws a lot of current, and a 15 amp 110V line can be tripped. I suggest that the compressor needs to be connected to a 20 amp or above 110V outlet. This isn’t a light weight compressor, but it is easy to store. I looked at this compressor and found that it was well made and engineered for the price I paid. I would give this compressor a 5 Star rating if it came with a better instruction manual.

Too little info to make a good purchase decision.
I was considering this compressor, but I find there is far too little technical info available on Amazon to make a decision to purchase it. For example there are no electrical specs. regarding the elec. service capacity necessary to operate the compressor. There is no indication as to how long it would take to fill an 80 cu.ft. dive tank - my primary need. Additionally, no information on global service centers. How often to change filters/number of scuba tanks filled.
