Bought these saucers and cups to add some pizzazz to gold-rimmed dinner ware I just purchased. These saucers and cups are beautiful!!! I absolutely love them. Be mindful, they are thin and do feel delicate. They also have quite a bit of gold on them. So I wouldn't microwave them and I'm planning to handwash them as well in hopes that they last many years. They make a stunning impact on the place-setting. They were a great price and so pretty. Yes they have some minor flaws/imperfections of the gold finish that you don't see unless you are looking for them, or unless you are the kind of person who's eye goes directly to such things. But for the price and for the overall impression and wow factor these give - those little flaws are meaningless. If you have to have perfect perfect tea sets, then pay much more and order a bigger name brand. For my use which will be a handful of special occasions per year and where I'm wanting my table to look gorgeous, these are PERFECT. I love them.

The set was packaged and delivered well, and wax cup and saucer looks and feels gorgeous in person. The weight is just right. The gold accent is under a glaze — not cheaply painted on like you might expect at such prices. Due to, I suspect, the aforementioned glazing, the set held up to a super-hot water manual hand-scrubbing as well as a full run in the dishwasher. In a drop test, the saucers hold up to a countertop-height drop onto carpet, linoleum, and vinyl plank, but alas, couldn’t withstand a drop onto tile. Would recommend not dropping your cups at all, to be fair. Honestly this has quickly become my favorite little tea set, and if they ever come out with more colors I’d be the first in line. Only way I’d improve it is some sort of box or case — they come in a padded foam cardboard with individual liners between saucers (which as I said is brilliant — not a single chip or crack in shipping) — which is unfortunately not the most visually-appealing packing, but I suppose a case would raise the price up and undermine some of the value of the purchase price.
