Great for use on electrical wiring except "super flexible" 10 gauge.
Great for use on electrical wiring except "super flexible" 10 gauge. Whenever I tried to skin the insulation off of "super flexible" stranded 10 gauge wire, more fine strands of wire were removed with the insulation than I was comfortable with. I ended up using a box cutter to split the ends of the wire, peel each half back, make sure no fine strands of wire were sticking to it, cut the insulation off with micro-shears, and then crimp my connectors on. The strands in "super flexible" wire are so fine that even with box cutters, you will still end up cutting a few strands off, but not nearly as many as with a wire stripping tool.
