Q: Is it easy to program start and stop times? The one I have now is so complicated.

Yes. For weekdays first hit PRGM and enter the times and temperature, then hit Run to enter them. Repeat for weekend. There are no stop times, you are simply changing the temperature at these entered times.

I always use it in manual because I don't like the way the program feature is set up. Just choose heat or cool, fan in auto, and set temp, all you have to do. If you want programmable I would recommend something else.

I could not find White Rogers thermostat with your model number. However I did find on designated as "1 F 78" (The spaces are intentional.) Be careful to search for models using the case (upper or lower) and spaces. Don’t understand your question as mine is basically an on-off action. If in heat mode setting 69F, will cause heater to shut off when 69 reached. Heater back on if temp drops below 69F. There’s a little delay, like 1 degree such that heater waits before turning on or off too quickly. Call vendor for more info.
