Growing up God's Way for Girls

Brilliant book. Have read it several times with my 10 year old daughter. Very informative without giving too much detail. But most importantly explains puberty, marriage and sex from God’s point of view and includes bible references. My daughter loves our sessions together going through this book and acts as a springboard for conversation.

I was given the ‘Growing up God’s way for boys’ for my son by his school and it has been excellent reference tool. It is informative but doesn’t overload on information which is inappropriate when trying to teach within a Christian ethos. Therefore, when I noticed my daughter showing signs of puberty earlier than i expected, I had no problem purchasing this for my 8 year old. We always sit together and read through each section first and I answer questions the whole way through, she has found the explanations easy to understand. We will read the part on physical intimacy when she’s a bit older as I don’t think she’s ready for that yet (every child is different) however, If you find the thought of doing ‘The Talk’ awkward and you’re not sure how to go about it, I really do recommend this book. I’ve found it to be the best christian book on the market for assisting you with the whole topic of growing up, backed up with scripture.

Well presented and beautifully illustrated, this book gives age appropriate facts about puberty, marriage and sex all from the perspective of being wonderfully created by God. This book is a must for any parent of a girl aged 9-14 that wants their child to learn a Biblical perspective on growing up and relationships. I have looked at many books on this subject and this is definitely the best. My 13 year old daughter read it recently (we have already talked about the whole subject before) enjoyed reading it on her own and said that it was really helpful.

Brilliant book. I love the way it puts everything into a biblical framework and the need for respect and discretion as well. It is clear with simple diagrams, and covers everything. I have been reading it to my daughter, periodically, a chapter at a time, and then discussing it afterwards. The girl one has a short chapter on the basics of changes in a boy as well. When it is time, I will get the one for boys to go through with my son.

I was looking for a good book to help me talk to my 9 year old daughter about puberty and sex education before she got taught in school. I came upon this book and after reading a few chapters with her, I'm really glad that I bought it. It explains every thing with a biblical perspective while giving them the facts as they are. It's even reminded me of a few things about relationships. I think it's a book that will be well used in my house, especially as I've got 3 girls.

Perfect for any parent discussing growing up with their daughter. I would recommend this book to non Christian buyers too and the content is specifically directed at providing clear, accurate facts. My daughter loves the pictures and the layout lends the opportunity for discussing the facts, Fab book!

Easy to read for youngsters

Get it! Was so happy for find a God driven book on these topics and it did not disappoint! I’m not good w/ words and I can over explain things. I did my research on multiple sources/ books it was my goal to find a God centered one and this is the one! It has helped my daughter and I have great conversations and questions asked and how they go about things in the book it helps start the hard conversations to not make it awkward as well. I’ve skipped some chapters until our daughter is age appropriate but everything is so well explained and well thought out.

Great book but you need to read through and be sure your kids are mature enough to read it on their own. I intend to only read some parts with my daughter and deal with the other sections when she is older

This book is really well thought out, I am sincerely impressed and grateful. My girl is 10 so we are reading a bit here and there and skipping over the sexual chapter(s) but let me tell you it is described so much better than I could do on my own, handled honestly, anatomically correct, respectfully and simply. Fantastic source for our changing girls.

It is very helpful for educating children. It was beneficial to invest the time to go through this book with my pre-teen. The language was clear. The overall messaging was on point from a biological and spiritual perspective.
