Presenting Your Findings: A Practical Guide for Creating Tables

This would easily receive 5 stars, if it were made more readily available. As a student affiliate to American Psychological Association (APA), and certified in the basic skills of APA Style, I felt let down in my purchase of this book. It carries great information, but it is not available on all forms of Kindle access. I never know when I may be in need of pulling up information from this book, and my Kindle is not always right in front of me. Tutoring others, but unable to pull up my 'purchased' book on their laptop in order to review rules and guides is a hindrance, causing me to seek other resources beyond APA.

This was one of my bibles during my doctoral studies. This book was a life-saver when writing my dissertation which comprised 70 tables. This user-friendly manual cleary demonstrates how to present statistical analyses in addition to qualitative results (e.g., word tables) in APA format. While the APA Style Manual shows how to create tables, this particular manual takes it a step further by providing clear examples of how to present a wide array of statistical analyses that include ANOVA, MANOVA, Factor analysis, Chi-square, and regression (to name a few). This is an indispensable manual to have if you work with research, are writing a thesis, dissertation, or refereed journal article.

No matter how complex your table will be, if you use this book as your guideline, you will be able to create it. The reviewer who claimed this is not true probably wanted them to give him the exact table. Their book would have been 1,000+ pages long to give an example of every combination of every table.What this book gives you is the foundation upon which to build tables. Whenever you aren't sure how to build your table, just take a quick gander through the appropriate section(s) of this book, and follow their guidelines -- do NOT try to copy. Your result will be an excellent, easy-to-follow table.

I purchased this book while working on my masters thesis. Upon finalizing my thesis, one could physically tell that this book proved extremely worth while. If your working towards any type of higher education degree requiring a final paper, purchase this book and you will be thankful of doing so.

Newbie undergrads or post grads doing quantitative research NEED this book. I found it extremely useful. Would like to see more content focusing on presenting data for logistic regression techniques, but overall, this saved me much pain and suffering.

If you are in graduate school this is a must if you want your data be reported correctly and look professional.

I use this a lot with my job. I frequently need to write reports and this is a handy way to make sure I'm following the proper guidelines.

Not worth the money

Good for anyone who needs to present data according to the APA norms. The APA book covers more references but a only very few tables.
