Perfect for TRAINS & smooth easy roll for ESCALATORS and lots of walking! Very durable & affordable!
I wanted to use these before I wrote a review. I travelled Germany for 7 weeks, 3,500+ miles, 50 trains… and I was NOT gentle with this luggage. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with my choice. I purchased several brands before deciding on Luggex—and this was hands down the BEST decision. I had this suitcase maxed out weight-wise. Traveling alone much of the time meant I was constantly lifting, pulling, and yes… even throwing it on and off trains because I had more than one bag. Some days I didn’t even have the energy to carry it up and down stairs, so it literally bumped down step by step with me. I was worried the stairs would ruin my suitcase, but it was perfectly fine!!! The suitcase is incredibly durable. And the wheels? AMAZING. They held up to EVERYTHING. They handled every surface I came across. Cobblestone? No problem. Although I will say… in Köln (Cologne), the cobblestones were EXTRA 😂 so I had to put my back into it and pull! It rolled smoothly across platforms, elevators, stairs, and everything in between. It also went on and off escalators easily, which was a huge deal when traveling alone. My carry on sat on top and strapped easily to the pull up handle. i am 6’ 2” and the handle was a perfect length for me. I brought a spare wheel but never needed it. The shocks did their job perfectly. After 7 weeks of serious use, the wheels still looked great, just normal scuffs and scratches (see pic). Security was another huge plus. No zippers to puncture, just a solid aluminum frame with two TSA-approved locks. I felt completely comfortable leaving it in the train luggage areas while I went to the bathroom or restaurant car. I also used a retractable locking cable for extra peace of mind. The medium size fit easily in the overhead racks on German trains. About the frame … I tried other hard-shell suitcases without aluminum frames, and they all felt floppy and “soft.” With my hip injury, I needed something I could sit on if necessary. The company didn’t officially recommend it, but I had to try it and it was SOLID . I used it as a seat multiple times throughout my trip. Even my 6’10”, 300 lb son sat on his with no issue. The frame is no joke!! Seriously strong and well-built. I researched, shopped online and off and these are truly the most durable suitcase you can get at this price point! Bottom line: I am SO happy with this purchase. We now own four different sizes and I am buying a set for my husband. I’ve included a video of it rolling over different surfaces in Bad Honnef, regular cobblestones, the horribly bumpy ones in Cologne and down the stairs at the Cathedral. The wheel photo shows their condition AFTER the full 7-week trip. Even after sitting on them, a lot, the shock is in perfect condition.

Solid secure suitcase that has great capacity and rolls like a dream even fully loaded.
This is a sturdy secure suitcase with great capacity. It is a narrower, deeper suitcase than the more usual form factor, but the extra depth allows me to pack a garment bag with two suits along with everything else. It has no zippers so will not expand, but I gain a lot of security with the all around aluminum frame and the integrated TSA approved 3-digit combination latches. I just completed a five-week series of four trips (2 holiday and two business) with this suitcase. Even loaded to 50 pounds, the wheels made rolling effortless. My only slight negative is that the suitcase comes with a lightweight cover that is basically heavy paper and did not hold up well. The nonstandard makes finding a replacement difficult, it would be nice if Luggex sold a durable cover of the correct proportions.

Actual real person review after real use
I bought the 28” Luggex suitcase in charcoal. I love a good suitcase (call me weird) but I’m also too intelligent to dump $2000+ into a glorified clothes box and act like a pretty box somehow means I’m more valuable than others. All That to say that I really do want a quality suitcase but I’m also value-conscious. I bought this one after spending a ton of time reading reviews and still wasn’t sure what I would get. No matter which suitcase you check out you’re going to find the “this is the best one ever” reviews and the “do not buy” ones, but this is the one I went with. Sorry so much preamble. The good: Loaded this sucker up FULL with 51 lbs (23.5kg) of stuff, mainly clothes but some books as well, and checked it in. It then survived six weeks of flights and transfers and in & out of truck beds going from Texas to Papua New Guinea and back, with a lot of additional flights inbetween. United, Asiana and Virgin airlines are pretty good with bags. JetStar was okay. Air Niugini must literally throw the bags out of the aircraft and then jump on them. Seriously. Of our three checked suitcases (three different brands) only this one survived unscathed. It came through with some scuffs - basically perfect. The wheels are all still intact and working quietly. The case itself looks good, no cracks or dents, it opens and closes properly and I don’t find any loose rivets or other damage. The latches and hinges still function correctly and nicely. For comparison, suitcase ‘B’ was so smashed after just one Air Niugini flight I was afraid it wouldn’t get us home: caved in side, major cracks in two sides, front permanently creased, and the aluminum frame broke in two places. Suitcase ‘C’ had two broken-off wheels, one corner caved in and cracked through, and white crease marks across the front where it had bent. Neither of those will ever make another trip. The Luggex looks good - like it actually looks good. The other two are filthy and scuffed and you say, “dude, those things are finished”. This one you look at and say “huh…probably could wipe it down with a damp cloth and remove that sticker residue, huh?” I’m massively impressed Extra impressed because it went all the same places as the other two bags but this one just looks a bit dirty and those two are ruined. I will absolutely buy another Luggex. 13 flights, 16 different terminals, vans, truck beds, stairs, gravel, pouring rain, plus the tender care of Air Niugini…this one wins, for me.

Great bag - DID NOT SURVIVE first/only trip
I love this bag for style, size, durability, and no zippers, but it DID NOT SURVIVE its first and only trip. I took it to Europe for 6 weeks - airlines, trains, bad street rolling - but American Airline destroyed it upon return. They somehow dropped it and bent in the lower front corner and bottom back hinge - not opening the case but making it unusable in the future.

Great carry on suitcase
I just came back from a trip using this carry on case for the first time. Perfect size for a short four day stay. Wheels are excellent and roll effortlessly and smooth. I like the fact that it uses latches and not zippers on the outside. Locks on the latches are TSA compliant and very easy to change the combination when necessary. It’s a hard case and fits in the overhead bins on passenger jets. My brother liked it so much that he is going to order one for himself as well.

Awesome for My Camera and Video Gear (Almost Perfect)
I have tried and own all kinds of brands, cases, bags, etc. for my video and camera gear. Including Pelican, ThinkTank, Tamrac, Tenba, Neewer, Lowepro, even converting a Samsonite for my purposes. Those are all great brands but I wanted something pretty specific and maybe Pelican finally listened to my suggestions but they are overpriced in my opinion. Regarding why this bag is almost perfect for my needs. First it has 4 sets of wheels to allow for easier transport from the studio to locations. Pelicans and ThinkTanks have two sets of wheels which adds to fatigue when transporting long distances to location. Next this bag is lightweight AND durable. The metal hinge was a requirement. And the locking clasps were also a requirement. As mentioned, I tried different brands and approaches. I find Pelicans overkill and end up being too heavy. Their AIR line is ok but overpriced. ThinkTanks are durable but also overpriced. My Samsonite conversion broke the hinge and zipper after a few months of use. It's been almost a year of daily use of this bag and all latches, hinges, and zippers are working well. And the thing that tops it off for my needs is the value. This is well priced. There is definitely a price hike for bags and cases designated as camera, photo, or video. So please keep these priced as a good value. Reasonably priced with good durability. I don't need to drive a truck over my cases. I don't even need to sit on or stand on my cases. But I do need them to last daily transport from studio to location. Plus, I need them to withstand being opened and closed dozens of times a day while on location. Feature design requests for my needs as a videographer/photographer but probably not for travelers. Can you make a photography/videographer line of cases? Can you make the medium suitcase just a little bit deeper? Maybe just 1-2 inches overall. Or rather than a 50/50 design where the lid is 50% and the bottom (side with the retractable handle) is 50%, can you make the lid 35% and the bottom 65% or thereabouts? This will help keep lenses, camera bodies, and larger items on the bottom side. Currently I put those on the lid side (left side) because the retractable handle takes some depth away. Not a huge deal but less convenient. Those are the heavier items and it makes the lid harder to lift. Plus shifting the ratio away from 50/50 makes storing longer lenses easier by having some medium length lenses also be stored vertically rather than horizontally. You don't want to go too long in one direction either or it ends up being wasted space. This is a big flaw with a lot of Pelican designs where they are too deep on one side and too shallow on the other side. Also, if you made the camera bag inserts and dividers that would be awesome! Currently I use inserts and dividers from other manufacturers and they are not a perfect fit. Thanks for making a great case! Also, honestly look into what it would take to compete in the camera/photo/video space. There are manufacturers with thriving businesses in that space but I think they are all lacking in some way. I should just make a video at some point.

Love this luggage!!!
As a frequent traveler who travels more than ten times a year, my core demands for luggage are very clear: sturdy and durable, convenient and practical in design. The Luggex luggage I recently experienced left a deep impression on me in these aspects, making it a reliable companion for frequent travelers. 1. Safe and convenient lock design: Luggex's zipperless lock design has indeed brought a difference. It is more convenient than traditional zipper boxes and more advanced than the locks of old-fashioned aluminum frame boxes. Its dual button unlocking mechanism effectively avoids the risk of one side button lock being easily opened by accidental impact. What satisfies me even more is its opening and closing experience: unlike some old-fashioned locks that require "groping" the position after pressing, Luggex's lock is truly easy to open with just one press, smooth and worry free. 2. Smooth and smooth implementation experience: The wheels of the suitcase are too crucial. The spring wheel system equipped on Luggex is a highlight that has never been seen before. Whether on the bumpy cobblestone roads of ancient Italian cities or on the smooth tiled floors of Dubai airport, this set of wheels performs very steadily. It can absorb vibrations well, making it much easier to drag the box on various roads. 3. Balance between lightweight and sturdy: The combination of PC shell and aluminum frame makes it much lighter than an all aluminum box when lifted, and the overall structure feels more solid and impact resistant than common PC+ABS material boxes. 4. Capacity and internal space: With a capacity of 36L, this product can store clothes for 3-5 days without any problem. Even after being filled, the box can still remain flat without any swelling sensation. The internal space design is reasonable. If one or two Velcro storage bags can be added inside to organize miscellaneous items such as charging cables and small items, or if both sides are closed, the practicality and storage efficiency will be further improved. Additionally, it would be even better if the material could be upgraded. 5. The after sales guarantee makes people feel at ease: In addition, when I contacted them to register for warranty, they told me that this luggage has a 3-year warranty period, and if there are any product quality issues such as damaged shell or broken handle, they will provide free replacement. If the wheel or password lock is damaged, they will also provide free replacement parts. This comprehensive after-sales policy has indeed given me a sense of security when purchasing and using. Summary of Experience: Overall, Luggex luggage has done an excellent job in safety locks, smooth implementation, and lightweight design, which are the most concerning aspects for travelers. It provides a cost-effective option. Although there may be some usage marks on the surface of the box under high-intensity use, its excellent overall performance, user-friendly details, and reliable after-sales support make me feel that these subtle compromises are worth it. For friends who frequently travel and value safety, convenience, and practicality, this suitcase is worth putting on your list of considerations.

Now my Favorite bag
I'm really happy with these bag. The shell is tough and the wheels are really nice. Actually, the wheels are probably the best of any bag I've had. The interior is is good, two main areas. This bag in conjunction with the vacuum bags is the hot ticket! I also added the silicone wheel protectors and love how this bag glides. It's been to Costa Rica and Philly twice now. Very happy with it and the size is perfect for carry-on. This is my go to bag now, even over my Tumi bags.

Great carry on luggage!
This was exactly what I was looking for! Lots of room for packing, fits in the overhead bin perfectly! The wheels glide very smoothly which helps because the handle might be a little flimsy! I still have it a five because I love it…..
