Works for my yard
Listen, it's a battery powered mower. You are not going to mow an acre on a single battery charge, let's be real. But for my small residential yard, it works perfect. YES, the battery WILL drain FASTER when you use the self-propelled function, or when you have thick and tall grass making the motor work harder to mow, that's just the reality of it. I mow twice a week, it takes me about 45 minutes to mow, Weed Wack, and blow the clippings of the driveway, and I use both batteries fully. Upgrade to larger batteries for longer use and keep a few extra and you are good to go! You can even keep a second battery in the mower in a storage slot next to the battery being used so you can swap it out faster than a NASCAR pit stop!

Waste of money. Stick with gas.
I'm a cupcake reviewer and 99/100 times my reviews are positive because I only look for the positive in products and services that I pay for, but... Garbage product. Absolute waste of $600+. I have a big yard, but it's pretty well divided in 4 small areas between 50-150 square yards each piece. A fully charged battery to give me enough juice for the mower to cut even one section, not even the smallest one. I had to buy extra batteries just to be able to cut my lawn, and the batteries don't hold a charge! I charged them fully last Sunday when I finished mowing, ser then aside in preparation for mowing this weekend... All dead. I got 5 minutes out of two batteries. Then with the string trimmer... It doesn't auto-feed and the strings break after 2-3 minutes of trimming. Had to buy a blade attachment to be able to trim. Money pit. If you buy this garbage, be prepared to buy 14 extra batteries and a bunch of extra chargers and accessories for them to work evenly close to what you need them to be.

In Love with Greenworks Products
I posted two before and one after picture. I purchased the Greenworks 40V 21 inch, self-propelled mower, blower, and edger bundle. I have a half acre of land so it took me approximately 4 hours (putting lines in the yard) to cut my lawn. My yard looks fabulous. The mower is quiet, very light weight, and makes a clean cut. It is true that when putting mower in reverse, you need to gently pull back, wait about five seconds and pull back again. You will know when the mower is in reverse mode as it will pull back with ease and you will see the wheel handle move and make soft clicking noise. I also found that letting up off of the handle slightly will send you in reverse mode faster than simply waiting. When cutting around trees and smaller areas, I release the self-propelled mode because it goes really fast. When in self-propelled mode, ease up off the self-propelled handle to slow the mower down. It goes a lot faster than my old gas mower. The 2.0 battery only lasts about 45 minutes. The 4.0 battery lasts 1-2 hours depending on the charge. I use one abbey while the other is charging and then switch. Instead of paying $159 for two more batteries, I am purchasing the pole saw and the trimmer, which will come with another battery and charger. The batteries work in all of Greenworks products. I absolutely love this. The amount of money I save by doing my own lawn and trimming my own trees with user friendly, green products that is female friendly is priceless. I am a 59 year old female who have had back and other major surgeries, but Greenworks products are so light that I can use them with ease. This may be due to the fact that they are made of durable plastic, including the blade on the mower. If the mower cuts off or you temporarily cut it off, be sure to power it up again. If you press the self propel and the power handle, the mower appears to turn back on, however, I questioned whether it was actually cutting as self-propelled works even when the mower is off. The mower holds two batteries at a time. Therefore, I will use two 4ah batteries moving forward as the mower will automatically switch to the second battery after the first one dies giving you uninterrupted cut time. I noticed that Greenworks makes higher powered batteries, which can extend my uninterrupted cut time. I plan to purchase at least one.

It cuts very nicely
This mower does an excellent job of cutting the grass. I do find it very heavy though. I bought this one after my other electric mower died. I was really shocked at how heavy this one is. I'm a disabled senior so it's a little difficult to put away. The self propelled feature uses up the battery very fast but does make it easier to use. Overall I like it but wish it were lighter with a better battery.

THis is great!
I had to get an electric mower, and I was wary... No need. The power, the quiet, and the effectiveness is just fine. The best way to do this, if you have a huge yard, is to get a couple of the devices. The batteries are interchangeable so having a couple of batteries means you can always do whatever you want. I have the mower, the hedge trimmers, the edger, blower and the line trimmer. Used them all summer and had no issues. Highly recommended!

Everything but the mower is great.
Bought this bundle on sale during last Autumn. Finally got to get my first use of the mower today. I have no complaints about the weed eater or the leaf blower. It's the mower I take issue with. Both batteries either over heated or went dead within a couple minutes after starting it. I made sure the blades weren't too low, I made sure the speed was at the absolutely slowest speed. Longest stretch of time I had it running was for ten minutes. I bought this almost six months ago and was so happy with the leaf blower and weed eater that the mower was an absolute letdown.

Don’t believe the description!!!
The mower runs great but the batteries don’t last 20 minutes my grass is Bermuda and it isn’t high. I have to use two batteries for a small front yard and then wait for them to charge to do my small backyard. They won’t pay for returns I spent $165 for returning the bundle which I insured also weedeater didn’t work. I’m thru with Greenworks beware of them. I waited over two hours to talk with someone then he kept telling me to talk to Amazon. Amazon kept telling me to talk to Greenworks. It was a losing battle. If u want to be ripped off go with Greenworks.

Does the job, quiet and easy to move around
I purchased the kit including 21" mower, blower and string trimmer. My 23 year old gas mower is on its last leg and I wanted to get more Greenworks electric tools using the same 40V batteries. My front lawn was a little long and still wet, but the mower got through it pretty well mulching. I had to slow down a little bit in a really thick and wet area, but I would have done that with the gas mower too. I got 25 minutes of mowing out of the 5 Ah battery and still stuck the same battery into the blower to blow the driveway. I am pretty sure that my 4 Ah and 5 Ah batteries will allow me to do front and back without a problem, 45 minutes usually. I just got and used the tools once, but so far I am very happy with the purchase.
