It appears to be a very good filter, but they don’t give any description that is worth anything when you buy it so let me tell you the inflow goes in the side with the black bump on the top to the left of the filter the fitting on the top is a return vent, which if you use in a different application, you must cap. Vacuum cap from an auto parts store works perfectly well. The output is on the right. The input has a spring loaded valve so that you can remove the bowl in case you see sediment or perhaps water in the bowl so that when you unscrew the bowl fuel will not come pouring out of it. All very automatic. I bought this not for its original intended use, but rather to add onto my lawnmowers that seem to get water in the fuel far more often than I would like, so I will add additional fuel line and mount it to the side where it has easy access. My overall rating for this is very good despite people saying the bill quality is low. I ordered two of them and they both came in in very good condition although they were not wrapped in a bubble wrap of any kind. They were only covered by a simple piece of plastic and put in a much larger box so I could see depending on what people ordered that it could possibly arrive broken if not properly protected. This was not the case for me.

Filter cartridge was broken from the factory. there was no way for it to stay attached to the filter body.
