I also bought this to force pineapple to reproduce- and it WORKED!! I have had the pineapple plant for 5 years or more and was never able to get it to bloom- dropped a couple in the middle and watered - a month or so later I went to water and saw the cutest bud !! So excited !! It does stress the plant a little bit - plus some of plant was exposed to colder weather but it is doing so good now
