Used this on 2 big hiking trips. Easy to clean. Comfortable to carry in backpack. Plenty of water for miles of hydration. When using it daily, I put in freezer to avoid cleaning often.

I don’t write reviews unless things are exceptionally amazing or terrible. I loved everything about this bladder. The hose, the magnet, the back support/rigidity, universality with osprey bags, etc. I have 3 Osprey bags and love their products. This bladder ruined a recent Yosemite backpacking trip. I took my 600 dollar smart scope with me and it was completely ruined by a leak in this bladder. It was the very first time I used it. I had filled it with no issues at home. I had no issues the first night. Then while sitting in the back of the car, the bladder slowly leaked all its contents onto my equipment and shorting the circuits. I inspected to find this defect in the bladder. I wish I never bought this thing. Not only is it expensive for what it is, it now also cost me a 600 dollar telescope. Do not buy.

The twist valve broke in my hand, w/o any form of damage 3 months into owning it so now I'm unable to prevent leakage. Edit: they're sending me a replacement

This is a well built hydration reservoir with nice features for the user. We got 3L reservoirs for my husband and I and 1.5L reservoirs for my two young kids. We have taken them on several hikes so far and they are easy to fill and easy to clean due to the wide opening that spans the whole end of the reservoir. I have had no issues with leaks and the wide opening makes it easy to dry the reservoir if you can force the mouth to stay open. I recommend buying a hydration bladder drying frame, which are inexpensive and make this much easier. The reservoir seems durable so far and survived getting kicked around a muddy kayak without damage. The hose and bite valve are nicely designed and, so long as you remember to flip the shut- off valve, protect from leaks. The hoses are a bit more difficult to clean and dry, however. I bought a specific cleaning kit with a brush for the hose. One con of this reservoir is that, even after several uses, there is a plastic taste to the water. This doesn’t bother me too much but does bother my daughter quite a bit. The 3L fits well in my Gregory Maya 20L pack and in my husband’s Gregory 28L pack. One note, however is that the Osprey reservoirs do not fit on the Gregory packs’ integrated reservoir hanger. This is easily fixed with a rubber band however and was worth it to me for the ease of use of the Osprey reservoir. It does hang on my kids’ REI packs’ integrated hanger. The reservoir itself is super light weight so it doesn’t add much to the weight of the water itself. Lastly, I really like the handle on the reservoir, which makes it easier to hold steady when filling. Overall, a great hydration reservoir and we’re happily hiking with you purchase.

I purchased an Osprey 26 hiking backpack so only found it appropriate to also buy an Osprey water reservoir. It was super easy to install and use. The added plastic piece for the support of the reservoir was extremely convenient when sliding the reservoir into the backpack when full of water. The flow of the actual mouth piece was plenty and I did not have to bite down hard at all. The quality is top notch and I didn’t experience any issues with it leaking. The only thing I will say is that I wish it were easier to dry these out so they don’t get moldy. I found that if I take open tongs and insert the ends into the bag and place the bags tilted upside down they did dry out pretty well. Yes I know there are probably better ways to doing this but I’m a first time hiker and learning. 🤣🥺 I decided to throw out the mouth piece after a week worth of hiking as they do sell that separately. Buy this reservoir you won’t regret it! & someone please tell me how to actually dry these things out. 😭

Bolsa de agua excepcional. La calidad es increíble, a la altura de Osprey. Tengo la mochila de senderismo de la misma marca y se acoplan perfectamente las dos cosas. El depósito contiene el tubo desmontable y la bolsa de agua, con los imanes para conjuntar perfectamente con tu mochila. El funcionamiento es inmejorable, aunque para mi gusto, el tubo es un poco largo. Por poner algún contra, hecho en falta una especie de "manual" o algo similar, ya que buscando por internet he descubierto que el tubo se puede cortar un poco, y no viene indicado en el producto. También me gustaría que la boca de la bolsa se pudiera abrir un poco más, como en modelos anteriores que tiene algún conocido. Aún asi, la zona rígida hace que sea súper cómoda de llevar y las mediciones de la propia bolsa te permitem calcular exactamente el agua que llevas. Desconozco si los imanes que trae incorporados son compatibles con mochilas de otras marcas. Tiene un precio bastante elevado, pero si eres un poco friki del mundillo o de la marca, es más que recomendable!

Excellent water reservoir, read reviews saying about leaks. I’ve waited to post this review to give a good honest account of it. Been out on around 5 long treks using it. Flat walks. Hill walks and mountains. Absolutely faultless and bone dry bag at the end of the day. I’ve had the smaller version in the past. Lost it when moving and bought this one. It’s a bit expensive but if you’re going to use it it’s definitely worth it. Some people have said about it going “mouldy” just from water being used. I’ve not had this problem and had it for around 4 months now. Spotless. Easy to open and fill up. Opens up nice and wide to fill or empty. Definitely recommend.

I highly recommend this hydraulics pack. It fits fine in an Osprey Tallon 22 liter. In the beginning the water tasted a bit like plastic. So I have filled it up with water a couple of nights (also two times with lemon juice) and now it is fine. Taking zips during a hike instead of taking backpack off to grap a bottle is nice.
