My old drying stand or "horse" as my kids used to call it ..was falling apart due to age and it was so difficult to choose a replacement ..you pick one that you think might do but when you read the reviews you're put off..this is well made and can take a substantial amount of washing , you will need storage space for it as it's not small but it does fold reasonably flat and I can store it in my downstairs loo it's not cheap but then you do get what you pay for and as already mentioned this is very well made and in the EU ,it's sturdy and doesn't feel as if it's about to collapse when fully loaded it keeps washing off of the radiators too and therefore cuts down on condensation ..all in all an excellent buy I think.

Shape is good, holds a lot of clothes, but needs to evened out as I wouldn’t put too many heavy items on one side as could weaken, hence the 4 stars

This product is strong and stands steady. It provides plenty of drying room for both long/ short items. It is invaluable for people who live in small accommodation without outside space. I would not be without this Clothes Airer as no other model on the market can compare with this one

Worst clothes aired ever! Do not buy this. Very expensive and total waste of money. When fully assembled, with is a major fiddle in itself, it is just too flimsy, the plastic lines are not nearly strong enough to support wet clothes, it doesn’t have any support if you want some things to dry on hangers and the whole thing is totally impractical. And to top it off it’s so big and bulky I have no idea how to return it! SO FRUSTRATING.

April 2018 Thought I would update on this. I bought it in 2012 and it’s still going strong. One of the best shaped and made that I have used. Would buy again. 2012 Excellent clothes stand. Robust and does not fall over. Takes a large load wash easily. Would recommend over and above other less strong alternatives.

Arrived in a polythene bag covered in one layer of bubble wrap with an amazon label on. No box. Which means that the protection the cardboard would have offered whilst being dragged about wasn't there, and both the bubble wrap and the polythene had been abraded away. The bottom of the airer is missing a foot, and the plastic from the metalwork on the bottom is 'missing'. If I was intending to use this in a damp environment then this would no longer be possible. If I was intending to use it on an uncarpeted floor then this would not be possible. This is an expensive airer, bought because my old one from the same manufacturer was of good quality - still fine, just too wide now. Really, really, not happy that I have paid over £50 for a damaged airer. It is however lockdown, I am CEV (been told to shield) and anyway amazon thoughtfully provided no packaging that I could wrap it in to return it - so I can't actually return it. Ridiculous sending something this size in a polythene bag and a single wrap of bubble wrap, not even taped at the corners (in the manner that, well, everything of this shape always has been, before they're placed in a box for shipping.

You have to weight it evenly other wise it pops out of its brackets. Not wide enough for a folded double or king size sheet.. ideal for small items, polo shirts, T shirts even trousers but some items wont fit without folding.

This is an excellent product!Very sturdy,easily takes 2 loads of washing with minimum amount of floor space taken up!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS DRYING RACK. GOT ONE FROM EUROPE MANY YEARS AGO, LASTED VERY WELL, BUT IT NEEDED REPLACING. I HAD LOOK FOR THE SAME THING ON LINE BEFORE - DIDN'T FIND ONE. SO WAS THRILLED WHEN I FOUND THIS ONE. THEY LAST A LONG TIME (LONGER IF YOU STORE THEM OUT OF THE FLORIDA HUMIDITY). IT WAS VERY WELL PACKAGED AND ARRIVED IN A SHORT TIME AFTER ORDERED.
