Funky aftertaste but not that bad 🙂‍↔️

So, calling these 'chips' I feel is a bit inaccurate. I get the premise, but in reality this is simply super dehydrated jerky; like make sure you have available saliva in your mouth dehydrated. The lack of any moisture really makes the flavor pop and the flavor is good...assuming you like crushed red pepper (I do). I like a variety of jerky styles from moist and chewy to this Wicked Cutz style which is very dry and crisp. My wife on the other hand mainly prefers a more chewy jerky, so this really wasn't something she cared for. Given my subjective taste I feel this is a good, super dehydrated jerky with lots of flavor...and that is part of the problem. It's so good, but so minimal in substance that I ate a whole package as a snack in no time and it is very expensive when you look at the price/weight ratio.

Golly, I love beef jerky, I love spicy stuff, and I love new ways of eating things I enjoy!!! But this stuff is a miss. The experience: - Odor: Kinda neutral, not really a lot of smell going on. If pushed, I'd say maybe a hint of mustard. - Initial Texture: Crisp, breaks apart on biting hard - Chewing: Goes from fine to not so good. Without the fat or moisture, it is like chewing sawdust sprinkled with cayenne pepper. - Aftertaste: Nothing notable, just the lingering burn. But nothing getting me to go back to get another. Jerky is good because of fat and moisture. This stuff is SUPER lean (It needs to be for the drying process) and if you don't like lean meat then this is not for you. I get their goal, and I get the compromises, and they have done well putting this out, and might be good for some people on keto diets. I'm sure the meat is good quality, and they put a lot of time into flavors. Unfortunately it did not hit for me. I would not reach for these again.

If you like dry crispy jerky this is it! Very good. I don’t have a picture because I ate them all. Amazing. Just wish it wasn’t so expensive. Sooo good and tasty!

I wanted the Wicked Cutz Beef Jerky Chips because I'm a big fan of beef jerky but don't buy it very often. I was a little surprised when I got these in the mail because they were so thin and seemed dry--I didn't realize I had ordered beef jerky chips rather than regular beef jerky. Overall the jerky chips had a good crunch to them and a great flavor. They have a little bit of a spice to them. I loved that it is gluten free because it's pretty rare to come across gluten free beef jerky due to most using soy sauce which typically is not gluten free. I would definitely buy these again if they were a lower price because right now I don't think it's a great value at $9 per bag for the amount that you get in the bag.
