Great kit, contained everything needed to perform a compression test on a diesel engine. The kit also contained all adapters needed for a large variety of diesel engines.All this at a very reasonable price.

This tool worked perfectly for my needs. My son and I had recently replaced injectors on his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado with the LB7 diesel engine and discovered that we had blow-by on one of the injectors. We used this tool to identify the cylinder with low pressure, indicating which injector had the blow-by. This allowed us to only work on that injector and correct the problem without affecting the other good injectors, which minimized the possibility of creating additional problems. The kit came with a long and short M10 x 1.25 thread which worked well for inserting them into the glow plug holes for this test. We found that the long connector worked good on all but one cylinder that we tested. We used the short connector for testing the cylinder behind the steering column. There were no issues with the gauge or pressure release valve, as mentioned in other reviews. Our cylinder pressures were between 340 and 360 on 6 of the eight cylinders. The cylinder with the blow- by had a pressure of 240. We did not test the cylinder directly behind the steering column because we could not remove the glow plug without uncoupling the steering column.

This not only doesn't work for a 6.7 PowerStroke, but it could potentially screw someone big time. While the adapter is the correct diameter and thread, there are 2 big problems with it. One, it's too short and improperly shaped to seal correctly, resulting in an inaccurate reading. What's worse and infuriating is that the quick disconnect would be inside the head, and you would be unable to remove it if you were unfortunate enough to get that far. This item should be removed from Amazon, as it could potentially cost someone a significant amount time and money if they attempted to use it on a 6.7
