It works, but not as well as it could have.The design of this honing guide forces the use of a narrow roller, so it can rock a little side-to-side in use, causing sharpened edge to not be straight. Makes it especially difficult to sharpen narrow chisels without rounding them a bit.The two halves rock out when you try to clamp a blade tightly. Tends to make blades work their way out of the wide clamp during sharpening.The paint is too thick and uneven. Made it nearly impossible to clamp chisels in either slot properly. I had to remove the paint to make it work right.It works, but a lot of care and fussing is involved. Not what I was hoping for.
