Easy Install for center-of-yard sprinkler heads.
I have now installed 4 of the 5 in the package I purchased and am very happy with the results. When I received them, I had first thought that the wide flange would be a problem but it didn't turn out to be. Installing in center-of-yard placements was easy as I simply (a) cleared out the grass and a bit of dirt covering the sprinkler heads, (b) did a minor amount of weed-wacking around the head... this probably wasn't necessary, then (c) mushed them in as far as I could with my hands and then gently but firmly stepped on them and they went all of the way in without any problem. Oh, to play fair, I did do this job right after a hard rain so that probably softened the ground enough to make the job easier. The wide flange is too much for sprinkler heads that are right next to walks and concrete so I won't use this product there - but, I found another option. But, for any center-of-yard heads, this item seems perfect.

Protects the sprinkler head from being buried.
I have an acre of grass and my sprinkler heads would get buried over the winter. The product took a minimum of effort to install and trim where needed. The heads are now protected and easier to find. I nicked the rating a star because there should be a better discount when buying a large quantity.

Strong and they work great !!
These grasshopper covers are great. They are strong and stays in place. T simply removed some of the grass around my sprinkler heads and gently tapped the it plastic piece into the ground with a rubber mallet. Now the sprinkler gaurds are safe from lawn mowers . Get it ! Ive tried others and these are heavy plastic gaurds stays in place . Pricey ,but worth it.

Solved my broken sprinkler head problem
1 sprinkler head mounted near the edge of my driveway was always getting broken. Since I installed this donut over the sprinkler head, I had not issues. simple install. Literally just push it down over the head. I had to use a small spade to dig out some dirt around the head and cut the edging a little to mount to fit the curve of the driveway. The size we perfect and also avoids any grass growing right up to the sprinkler head. I wish it was less expensive but it is cheaper and easier than having to fix the broken sprinkler heads.

Grasshole - Not Your Average Plastic Donut
I am in process of overhauling my parents home sprinkler system and came across a few sprinkler heads that were buried under 2+ inches of dirt and or had been plowed down by a vehicle “backing” out of the driveway. My Dad, who was in his in mid 70s had given up on the sprinkler system and returned to the old school way of watering the yard - hand holding a garden hose. (Nothing wrong with that! 😙) Since his passing, I decided to bring things back up to speed and try to repair. I tried the other name brand donuts and still have them in place but they sure are a pain when I have to adjust a sprinkler head IF I installed it under the screw cap rather than just lay it over the device. If you lay the other brand over the sprinkler-in no time it eventually becomes uneven and if you don’t make it a habit to check your sprinklers before you kick them off during a watering session and or have them on a program to run… you may have one or two having some of the water streams being somewhat blocked because of the position of that donut. The Grasshole donut does not require you to install it under the sprinkler head rather it’s installed around it - protecting the entire unit. It’s wonderful! Already has saved a sprinkler head from a Nissan tire! 😂 Super easy to install. If you need to reset it that’s easy too. It’s even stood up against the lawnmower… and yes, I did test that. I ordered the green color and so far no fading. (I live in TX.) Performance wise they have so far been great. On a side note; my Dad was a Veteran and this company is 100% owned by a Veteran and they support several other Veteran organizations too. I dig that.

Flimsy but inconspicuous & EZ install
Update — 29 July rec’d a replacement guard to have an extra that I needed. Came in envelope with no packin/protection & 2 side flaps are broken — that’s the weakness in the product; the side flaps c are scored so if you need to trim, it’s easy — but they have a tendency to break easily — even before you put it in place in the ground — This one arrived today; brand new out of the envelope YUP!!!! Finally!! help w/constant problem of heads being “squashed” — a great idea !!! Sturdy & easy fast install My heads are close to the street & cars have sv tendency to be inconsiderate & drive on the edge of my lawn — 2 heads were damaged just last year These will be a great help !!

They work
They work but not so much as the commercials I've seen and a bit expensive...but...I like them. I dig out around the sprinkler heads and fill the hole withe pea gravel with some of the sod I've removed the last 3 or 4 inches. Works great and the stay in place
