Nice
Thanks 👌

Nice screen, good enough performance, but..
I guess it’s my fault, I have a Lenovo company PC, so expected this one to also have a touchscreen. It doesn’t. Also the file structure on W11 is nowhere near as intuitive as W10. I’ve had a PC since 1990, I know how to use one but the file system on this pc is awful.

Faulty Item return and refund process
We have not been able to use the product since the day we received it, as it has been faulty from the beginning. Although we sent it in for repair, it was returned to us still not working. We would like to request a return and a full refund, however, we are unable to see this option available on your system. We are extremely dissatisfied with the product and the service experience so far. We kindly ask you to assist us with the return and refund process as soon as possible. Kind regards,
T**.

Falsely sold second hand laptop
Horrific quality, corrupted machine, checked on the Lenovo website and its apparently 2 years old out of warranty, and the repairs wouldn't even be possible in the UK as its originally from Japan. Amazon will refund but this will take atleast 14 days and I need to get a new laptop for work ASAP. Absolutely shocking how bad this has been.

I7 16GB Ram
PROs: Not bad... not bad at all - nice bit of grunt to it. Will happily run a VM using up 2 processors and 8 GB RAM virtually assigned along with the host machines usual office tasks. Nice to have a USB c port to connect a dock to have 3 monitors. Can totally handle many.. many tabs open and is fast and responsive - RAM never seems to top out and the same can be said for the CPU. Never had an issue with it and ive used this box a lot! Cons: Needs more USB ports RAM sticks are soldered to the board so cant upgrade the RAM (easily) Closing comments: Please don't solder RAM sticks to the board with machines like this - its lost a lot of potential as the CPU can easily handle double its RAM - apart from that - i recommend this machine for both home and commercial office use.

Woeful battery life
I have had this laptop for 2 years now and never got the opportunity to do a review and feel perhaps now is the time to do this. This laptop is my 3rd lenovo laptop. I really liked my previous older i3 model(s). I intended to re-purchase levono due to its reliability with a similar. Due to offerings at the time the i7 was better priced than the i5 and I thought why not if it is going to be better/faster. As far as a piece of kit is concerned it is quite a light weight laptop compared to my old one, more modern looking, but does feel a lot more flimsy. I'd recommend not trying to open lid one handed and to use two hands to lift the lid straight upwards. One handed it feels like the lid bowing against the hinges opening from one corner. The quality of the casing is not as good in the newer models, but that probably comes in lenovo trying to reduce the weight with thinner materials and of course keep the price down. Like all the newer laptops it is also slimmer so good for those who may use it on but are on the move. The abyss blue colour gives it a different but sleek finish compared to the usual black or silver supported by the levono branding down the side. This i7 model came with windows 11s installed as standard so prevents adding other apps. However, I googled how to remove the 11s mode and that was the first thing i did after the initial set up. That was quick to do and successful. Compared to my old levono i5 it was replacing this i7 is mega quick and goes at lightning speed so for me as a lighter general user I'm happy, would be really good for those that use for gaming. The keypad is of a good size, clear marked keys and soft touch. The screen is bright and clear for me as a general user and expect would be perfect for appearance for gamers. I like that you can cover the camera shutter above the screen if not needed. My biggest gripe with this laptop is the woeful battery life. On puchasing when opening the top of the laptop it auto switched on, indicating it was always in standby mode. I googled how to switch this off as I thought this was the main source on the drain on the battery and went back to using the power-on button. This may have made some difference but not enough in my view. Unlike my previous levovo if I don't use the laptop for a week the battery seriously depletes and if I was to leave for two weeks the battery can be almost flat. The drain is phenomenal. I notice someone else has referred to battery drain overnight, which of course builds up to that large percentage drain over a week or more. I understand the i7 processor is faster and it will deplete the battery in use quicker than the i5 in use but feel when not even switched on ?? Therefore, when I switch on my first check is the battery level and if it has depleted, I automatically plug it in before even stsrting to use it and charge it for the duration of use. A bit self defeating having a battery when it is on-power/charging so much. Those gaming may find they need to leave this laptop on charging a lot of the time over even more than those of us using for general use. If you were travelling even for a day or two I'd recommend taking the power pack in the event of it being needed. With hindsight, I wish I'd puchased the i5 model even though it was a little more expensive at the time as I've been disappointed in the battery with this laptop from the start. Aside of the battery issue I quite like the laptop itself and its performance, but cant overlook the annoyance every time I switch on I'm faced with having to top up the battery again for doing nothing. From this experience should I need to replace this levono laptop with a similar in the future I will do more homework on the battery performance and if it is still an ongoing issue for others, whilst i like lenovo brand, it would certainly prevent me re-purchasing their i5 or i7 processor again and id look for something with a more stable battery life. This excessive battery drain snd need to charge is something lenovo need to fully investigate.
