Seems very well built considering, price, etc. I think this is the best option we have for scope mounting, cleaning and light maintenance other than a vice. I did a lot of research and the other options had a lot of complaints regarding broken/tight plastic threads, units not clamping properly with the swiveling pad design and just overall cheap construction. I preferred the overall design and quality of the Real Avid and decided to go this route. Pro tip - I had problems initially pulling the clamp open on the Real Avid. After looking, I was pulling the release lever back with one hand which pulled down on the clamp diagonally making it difficulty to open. This is standard with any mechanical clamp. I now put my hand on the underside and use my thumb to pull the release so i can pull straight back on clamp. This sounds much more complicated than it is. Following this method is comfortable and gives much more control releasing the firearm. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I'm excited to mount scopes now.

Wow this gun workstation is such an upgrade from my old tipton gun workstation. This is such a huge help on my gunsmithing table. I love Real Avid products and have a lot of their items. This is along with the Real Avid Gun vise, and the Smart Tools that hooks into the workstation is awesome. It has places for your tools and cleaning products. I like the metal base so I can put a magnetic bowl to catch the screws.

I'm a relatively newcomer to Real Avid Products and I couldn't be happier with them. Their line of firearm cleaning products works better and faster than anything I've ever used in over 40 years of shooting. This got me interested in their other lines as well. I'm so impressed with what they offer that I upgraded perfectly fine products from other major manufacturers as I feel these are simply better. The Master Workstation is even more solid than I was hoping for. The build quality and features that you get are awesome. Very glad I switched to this company.

Great work station, securely holds rifles, and pistols for any maintenance. Also, perfect for holding tools.

I will start by saying that this works but also has a few faults. 1. Many here have stated that once you lock the rear (i.e. rear stock with the grip device) it becomes pretty hard to unlock it. Therefore, when you have your scope slightly tightened, it tends to move when you try and pry the thing open. This comes into play when you are trying to move the scope to give you the proper eye relief when picking up the rifle and be at the ready. When I noticed this I just left it on the vise and got very close to the preferred eye relief for me and my scope. It comes with grease... but cleaned that and applied oil and anything I can think of and still hard to release. Grease works best (I applied wheel bearing grease which became A LOT smoother to operate). 2. The four feet do make it a little harder to adjust and level the rifle. It took me 2 mins on my CTK Precision Gun Vise vs Real Avid that was 6+ mins. No big deal but worth mentioning. 3. The majority of parts are plastic. The box was banged up pretty bad so I noticed scratches and everything in between. Wasn't a big problem since everything went well after putting it together. The things that make this great. 1. The ability to rotate the rear to get things leveled while your rifle remains on the vise. The -/+ 3 degree plus adjustment on the feet does help. It's just easier on 3 legs vs 4 legs. 2. The magnetics trays helped to make sure screws and other parts weren't rolling around my table. It is something that CTK does not have. 3. It is lightweight but does take up space when stored. 4. The SMART accessory does help. I was skeptical but saw the benefits. 5. It does hold your weapon in place securely and does not damage your furniture. I have an Alpine White Kriss Vector and my CTK leaves residue that I need to clean off (or it stains) whereas this vise does not. I'm happy with my purchase at $169 for this vise but not willing to sell my CTK. So I will be keeping both and when I've checked each one for tolerance... they're both on par. The decision is yours but pretty satisfied with both.

This is a well-designed, sturdy and rigid gun stand. The rails are metal and the plastic parts are thick enough and gusseted, so everything is relatively rigid. I like the rear vice that can clamp the stock of a rifle or the hand grip of a pistol and keep it motionless while working. I am very happy with this tool.
