Nice and sturdy
These are well made and sturdy for holding items in place such as books. But I use mine in my kitchen cabinets to keep contents such as the long rolls of aluminum foil, parchment paper, wax paper, etc. in place. Now I don't have these items rolling around all over the place in the bottom of my cabinet.

Beautiful book ends!
Amazing quality for the price! Iโd recommended. Ordered a pack of 2 as my home library has been growing; the following week I had to order two more packs and this gets the job done. Beautiful and great quality. The color black is definitely (in my opinion) the way to go.

Relatively effective, look very good on shelves
I purchased these for a friend who has stacks'n'stacks of sheet music and music books - all of which are larger format than the average book heights on a shelf. He needed taller bookends to support the taller sheets/books. These are nicely made, heavy, and do well ... but given that they are a single piece of metal that is bent at the base ... without the 'cut out section' most have that protrude from the 'back side' of the bookend, there is a tendency for them to bend outward ... there isn't anything to give that added support. Othewise, they are nicely made, substantial ... and will 'do the job.'
