Ooh Effie has done it again! I am reading these backwards (because why not haha) but they are so good.I can’t decide if this or Alfie, Darling is my fav!This book is very dark. I think this review may be kinda spoilery (I have tried not to) but just bear that in mind before reading further.************Tommy is an a hole. I hate him so so much. He SA’s Katie on page several times. I think Effie has done a really good job at portraying how women can be in an abusive situation and not leave because they are so worn down and believe the things the guy says. Her self confidence is shattered and she stays with him despite the abuse and infidelity because she has zero confidence in herself.I’ve seen some comments calling Mac out for not intervening. However, that is the point. He wants her to find her own confidence to leave Tommy. If he was to intervene, she was so under his control that she wouldn’t leave and would hate Mac for it.Mac builds up Katie’s confidence (and yes there is cheating – but Tommy totally deserves it and she is eaten up with guilt!) and makes her believe in herself again.The spice scenes are on point and I do love a good chase in the woods!I highly recommend Effie’s books, they are so so good!

This book is Dark and Dirty (which means I love it 😁) I adored Mac, he saw Katie was no longer her 'happy' self and that the relationship she was in was bringing her down. He ends up stalking her, which then leads to🌶 🍆 (yup can only happen in a book 🤣) Good plot, good pace and now I need to read the other stories in this series. This is a stand alone but the series follows the different characters.4⭐️

Omg I love Mac! He's so well written! The story was amazing, I have randomly come in at book 3, but will definitely be reading the rest of the series, I need more of the Scots Mafia!Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Make sure you read your warnings with this book!Definitely did not expect half of what happened, this book was an amazing read if your into dark romance and masked stalkers! What a read so glad I read this book!

OMG Mac McGowan was just 🥵!!This was my favourite out of the 3 books and definitely the darker of the 3 so check TW!This book is Mac and Katie, Mac becomes obsessed with Katie and starts stalking her. He hates seeing how her celebrity rockstar boyfriend treats her and he is set on showing her he can treat her better…. Only Katie doesn’t know it’s Mac as he is masked! Yes, Mac shows up masked and disguising his voice so Katie has no idea who her stalker is but she can’t seem to help herself.I really don’t wanna say too much and spoil this and there are some unexpected twists!

Mac had ME melting with his words, the sweet, the loving, the protective, the violent…. and of course the dirty😏 It took me longer to warm up to Katie, but (without giving too much away) I credit that more as a result of who she was because of the relationship that she was in.Overall, I loved this book and recommend it😍

I really loved how even though it was clear to the reader that Tommy was doing early on, the author created enough plot that it was plausible that the characters wouldn’t realize it. The progression of awareness made sense too.

If you are a fan of Stalker Romances and Masked Men, then this book is for you! Literally, this book is so spicy and depraved at the same time. Katie and Mac most definitely do not have an average love story; theirs is one of fear, passion, stalking, extreme danger, perseverance, as well as some good ol’ witty banter. This is my first book by this author and it didn’t disappoint. It was hot dark and dirty and occasionally creepy.There’s a lot of triggers in this book from sexual abuse to stalking and necrophylia (absolutely not my thing!)Tommy is the rock god and Katie’s boyfriend that can’t satisfy his woman unless he does deprived things to get his pecker to stand up. Killing to satisfy his twisted ways.Katie a woman that is trying to stay away from her mafia family and build her own place with her abusive partner, her stalker is a skull wearing mask god that satisfies her needsMac has been in love with Katie for a couple of years.

He has such a dirty mouth and worships Katie. He is a whole package. Katie oh sweet sweet Katie. My heart ached for her so much through this book but I loved seeing her growth throughout this story. I love how she came into her own by the end. I definitely got some Haunting Adeline vibes from this book. Can I just say the scene with Tommy passed out in the bed…IYKYK if you don’t then you need to read this book!Now to vilify Tommy in his death…I pray that man is rotting in fiction he||.This is book 3 in the McGowan Mafia series. It can be read as a standalone however I highly recommend reading the series in order to get the full impact of the plot. This book is so much darker than the first two. Please check trigger warnings!!

It was good. I saw the conflict a mile away and knew the outcome. But, I enjoyed it. It is an interesting ride. I don’t care for all the unnecessary characters and information and family drama from the series. Just focus on this relationship. But overall, it’s good.
