These puzzles are the best. Well made. Long lasting. Worth the extra dollars

What does large format mean?

It means the pieces are slightly larger than the regular size pieces. I have tried both and either size is great to work with! I now buy either size if I really like the puzzle picture and want to do the "snack" size of 500 pieces. Enjoy!

What a great puzzle! Enjoyed the image, colors and layout, and appreciated the size of the puzzle pieces, which clicked into place in a secure and certain manner. There was minimal puzzle dust. I looked forward to working on this puzzle for a while each day, and spent about a week assembling it. Thank you, Ravensburger!
