Good smoking chips

Great product
I’ve purchased this and other flavors of this product for cold smoking sausages. They are fantastic and burn thoroughly all the way to the end. I use it in a circular cold smoke generator. It does take a bit for the sawdust to catch AND maintain its burn, but once it does, it’s all good. This is my go to cold smoking product!!

Doesn't stay lit in cold smoke applications
This wood has a great flavor. I ordered Oak and got genuine oak chips. However even I thoroughly dry the shavings in the microwave, leave the large 3 slot vent on the bottom of my Webber wide open and keep the top vent open they NEVER stay smoking. I even tried putting a fan directly below it to see if that would work. I have no trouble keeping pellets going in cold smokes this way, and other dust I have used also works. I suppose these could work in a hot smoking application where you had a direct heat source under them at all times. They would probly burn quick though.

This is what you need for your cheap electric smoker
The saw dust like fine chips are the only thing that I can get to burn in my cheap electric smoker. The oak is a very good smelling hard wood (used by most BBQ places in this part of Texas) It is more expensive than the big chips they sell at the super market, but they are the great equalizer for the cheap electric smoker.

Enough to last you for the entire year
This is so much of saw dust. I can't believe how much kept coming out of the bag. Best value for money. I cooked meat using these chips and it came out good. Oak burns harder than other wood so ensure that you use it with right meat.

These are absolutely perfect for the Masterbuilt digital smokers! I prefer oak for smoking beef and I was very happy to find these fine grade oak shavings! I will definitely order more!
