teapigs Black Tea Bags Made With Whole Leaves Pack of Tea Bags, english breakfast, 50 Count (5423)

Like another review, I was also devastated when the maker of PG Tips ruined the world's best English Breakfast tea by cheapening it to a Lipton clone thinking avid tea drinkers wouldn't notice. Well.... we did! And I was beyond upset because it has been my go-to tea ever since I discovered it 20 years ago. After the change, I slowly stopped drinking tea daily because I could not find a comparable tea. My own sister felt so bad, she bought me 10 different teas and they all lacked flavor. After 2 years of settling, I stumbled upon this and boys was I so happy! It tastes strong...FINALLY! I still have a small batch of the original PG Tips, and this is even stronger. It is also more bitter, but I still love it. It goes great with milk and sugar. I can finally enjoy my morning cup of tea. A little pricey but it's better than drinking water flavored tea. Highly recommend if you are looking for a strong tea!!

Amazon sent this to me by accident but reversed the charges. I did not have to return this so I tried it. It was perfect. One of the first English breakfast teas that I have liked(Scottish breakfast) is my favorite. I have since purchased the 16 ounce loose leaf version. I believe it is the Rwandan black tea that makes this so good. The tea is not bitter and very smooth. I steep for four minutes at 205°.I do put a little coconut/almond milk in it from Califa but can also drink it black. I have to stop at two mugs a day so that I can drink other tea as well.

The very best English black tea.

Great black tea

The taste is quite excellent, to me it is reminiscent of Mighty Leaf Breakfast tea. What I don't like is the waste incurred when pulling the string loose from the tea bag (there are 2 attachment points that need to be freed to steep the tea) and having it rip a hole in the bag. No matter how slowly and carefully I do it, I lose 2-3 bags out of each pack of 50.

This is the most delicious black tea I've ever had. And, unlike mass-market products, I can finally make a cup that is strong but not bitter.

I’ve been looking for a replacement for the old PG Tips blend and this comes pretty close. It’s a tasty blend, brews a strong cuppa quickly and mellows out nicely with a bit of milk. The bags are packed full of leaves and can be used for a second, acceptably strong cup, making the price more reasonable. I have not had problems with the bags tearing, but I I have been treating them rather gently since the string is attached in 2 places.

Tea Pigs English Breakfast (the one with the rooster!) is probably the best black tea there is. Of course, that is just my opinion! Strong, but not bitter. Stands up to milk. Packaged in wrap that would appear to help guarantee freshness. After opening and using some, I usually have to switch to a Ziploc because the wrap is a bit brittle. I give credit to Tea Pigs for not just putting the tea bags in a box.
