Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations 3

A very good English translation of the classic Ace Attorney Investigations series by Kenji Kuroda and Kazuo Maekawa. Purchased for my teenage son, this is a great, engaging series that captures the reader. Anything that holds my son's attention is a great investment - and the Ace Attorney Investigations series doesn't disappoint. He's read the books several times and enjoys them.

I’m quite fond of the Ace Attorney series, and I’ve already read all of the Phoenix Wright-related manga, so I picked up Edgeworth’s manga series as well. After enjoying Volumes 1 and 2 of this manga series, I had to pick up volume 3, of course! Well, this one dips in quality just a bit. The first case is kind of disappointing, as the guy who seems obviously guilty turns out to be guilty. So, that story was a bit of a letdown. Also, this volume appears to have more typos in it than any other volume in this series, including the Phoenix Wright ones! I don’t really know why that is… On the bright side, the second case is much longer, and much more interesting, and actually ends with a good twist. Overall, this volume isn’t bad, per se, but isn’t quite as great as the previous ones. Obviously, if you are reading the series, then you should definitely pick this one up too, just for completion’s sake, and for the second case. Even with its flaws, I still found it quite enjoyable.

The manga version of Ace Attorney Investigations does not disappoint, with Edgeworth in top form and Gumshoe providing great comic relief. The characters are just like they are in the games and I was pleasantly surprised at the murder mysteries too, they were very enjoyable despite being reasonably short.

Ich liebe diese Reihe! Die Fälle sind neu und spannend, die Figuren niemals out of character :) auch der Zeichenstil ist sehr angenehm. Schade, dass es nur 4 Bände gibt. Das Englisch ist übrigens leicht zu verstehen.

I love the AA series and so happy to finally be able to buy these mangas. Best things ever! If you like AA, you'll love these.
