Minidiva Cassette tape to MP3 CD converter PC via USB.

I've been looking for something to get all my old cassette albums on my ipod. This device is very simple to use and looks great as well. It can be used as a normal cassette player but it can also be used to move all your old cassettes on to your ipods and ipads. If you were born in the pre 80's and have a draw filled with hundreds of old music and audiobooks on tapes then this is definitely needed to move them into the future.

I don't normally leave reviews but decided to on this product. Overall its does what it says, records from usb onto a pc/mac. The software Audacity comes on a mini cd. If for some reason the cd doesn't fit into your cd/dvd drive then you can download the software off the internet as its opensource software (i did this as it had a newer release than on disc). I seen a lot of reviews saying about 'tape hiss' this is unavoidable but can be reduced using Audacity. The reason for the 'hiss' is from the cassette player itself when it is running, which i know some people will not like but after doing 6 cassettes i haven't had that problem once i cleaned the recording up. To summarise, if your looking to not break your budget then this product is very capable of doing the job its supposed to do but will need you to edit the recordings to get the quality sound you require. For those who have a bit more money to spend then using a cassette deck with phono lead output may be better, although i have not tested this out to be certain.

This works fine. I am converting tapes from the 1970s into MP3s. The device feels a little bit lightweight but it's good enough for the price and it does what it claims to. Finding the driver takes Windows a little while but it gets there in the end. There is some noise in the recordings but it's different with each tape so I suspect it's the old tapes to blame rather than this little device. Background noise can easily be removed with Audacity and I've managed to clean up the recordings pretty well so far. I would recommend this product.

I may have had a rogue one as it added the occasional car horn sound to cassette recordings which weren't on the original tapes. I managed to convert about four of my old tapes to MP3 using the Audacity software before the device started to go wild when trying to record - an awful buzz came on whenever I pressed the record button in Audacity and the device was just useless for its intended purpose of recording cassette tapes to MP3. I do intend to order another one as I want to find out if I was just unlucky and got a damaged product as other reviews are positive.

It works and gives good quality, but some background hum.

I have ben trying to convert the family cassettes into MP3 for a while, using our old cassette player and Audacity. each one took ages and needed tweaking for hiss, volume etc. then I bought this little beauty. I have done 11 cassettes this week - no hiss, not even needed to tweak the volume. So easy to use. it has made me very happy.

This is the second one of these I have bought and the second one that the 3.5mm jack doesn't work properly on so have sent back. It won't play through my audio unit with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm lead fitted and I tried several to check it wasn't the lead. Frustratingly though the headphones work but that isn't what it was bought for - it was for all of us to listen to tapes again in the house together,

The player works well and seems very suitable to perform what I wanted it for, to listen to old cassette tapes and make some MP3 files via Audacity.

Die Kassetten werden einfach in den Recorder eingelegt und schon kann es losgehen. Mit dem Aufnahmeprogramm audacity kannte ich mich bereits aus, weshalb das Aufnehmen für mich sehr einfach war, auch an der Tonqualität kann man mit dem Programm noch etwas rausholen und eventuelle Rauschgeräusche dämmen. Natürlich ist die Verarbeitung des Geräts eher billig, aber für den Preis voll in Ordnung. Einfach das Gerät sanft anfassen und die Knöpfe, insbesondere den zum Öffnen vorsichtig bedienen. Nachdem eine Seite der Kassette aufgenommen wurde wird sie automatisch per auto reverse von der anderen Seite abgespielt, sodass man sie nicht drehen muss. Ich bin sehr zufrieden, habe nun ca. 20 Kassetten aufgenommen und es läuft immer noch einwandfrei.

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich mir diesen Kassetten Umwandler gekauft um wie der Name schon sagt meine alten Kassetten in MP3's umzuwandeln. Der "Walkman" an sich ist wirklich sehr zart besaitet und wirkt so, als wenn er es nicht überstehen würde wenn er fallen gelassen würde... Die Qualität ist nicht der Knaller aber okay. Generell kann ich daran nicht viel meckern. Die Knöpfe Funktionieren einwandfrei. Ebenso alle Anschlüsse. Schön ist auch das der "Walkman" die Kassette von alleine umdreht. Wichtig dabei allerdings zu beachten : in der mittel gibt es einen Knopf für Wiederholung also eine liegende Acht und das Teichen für einen Pfeil nach links. Achtet darauf das der Pfeil nach Links eingeschaltet ist. Da sonst bei der Aufnahme die Kassette immer wieder gedreht wird. Das heißt das ihr dann non stop Aufnehmt. Da die Software auch ein Schnittprogramm beinhaltet ist es kein Problem aber sollte doch beachtet werden. Mitgeliefert wird zu dem "Walkman" ein USB Kabel und die Zugehörige Software Audacity. Installierung klappte einwandfrei. und USB Kabel war auch in Ordnung. Lediglich bei der Software selbst muss man sich wirklich erstmal rein finden. Am Anfang dachte ich wäre alles schon vorinstalliert und ich müsse nur noch auf Play drücken. War aber nicht so ..denn mein Micro war noch angeschaltet. das heißt meine Kassette lief 2 Stunden und das einzige was aufgenommen wurde, war meine Stimme... hatte es auch im Hintergrund laufen und wusste gar nicht was da läuft. Also die ganze Sache Löschen und nochmal alle Einstellungen überprüft. dann hat es auch geklappt. Deswegen auch 4 Sterne . Für nicht Pc affine Personen ist es allerdings nicht einfach zu schnallen. Nett ist aber das wie oben benannte Schnitt Tool das wirklich ohne Probleme Knacken oder "Kassetten dreh Pausen" super weg schneidet. Im Großen und Ganzen war aber dann alles super ebenso wie die Preis- Leistung ! Die Ton Qualität ist ebenso super ! Ich würde dieses Produkt weiter empfehlen.

Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier einfach. Der "Walkman" ist technisch einfach. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist auf englisch ( zumindest die online-Ausgabe, auf welche ich zurück gegriffen habe ). Aber jemand der bereits ein technisches Gerät in den Händen gehalten hat, wird auch den Umgang mit dem Kassetten-MP3-Umwandler schnell lernen. Das stellt kein Problem dar. Ich nutze das Gerät lediglich um meine alten ???-Kassetten vor dem Verfall zu konservieren ( als MP3 ). Und dafür reicht es allemal. Die anderen Funktionen habe ich nicht ausprobiert. Gerät war bei schneller Lieferung gut verpackt. Es gab keine Probleme mit dem Verkäufer. Gerne wieder.
