Versatile crafting
You need standard dowels for a standard job? These are your guys! They're made of bamboo, they are smooth, don't splinter much except for maybe a little on the edges. True to picture and measurements. I used them for structure when making earring hangers, worked perfect! ( cheap too ;) )

Unintended use: laptop riser
This is exactly what I needed! My new work laptop wasn't getting enough fresh air through its bottom vents, so the fan was constantly blasting and getting very annoying. I needed a riser, but all the actual laptop risers out there were ugly metal contraptions for $20+ that would raise the laptop 1.5+ inches. I only needed a ~1/2-inch lift on the back, and thought this would be absolutely perfect for that. These are relatively cheap, feel super solid, no rough edges or splinters, and the soft wood won't scratch my desk of laptop. Works exactly how I need it to, and now I have 10 of them for 1/4 the price of an actual laptop riser, looks sleek and modern too LOL.

Good for tapestries!
I’ve been using these dowels to hang crochet tapestries I’ve made, and these work great. I’ve been able to cut them into smaller sizes with garden shears which is helpful for smaller projects I’ve made.

A lot of the pieces were warped.

Bought a pack of 25. Every dowel is crooked which makes them difficult to use at full length.
