Stay well clear . It broke after about 2 weeks . Kept ejecting itself on a brand new m4 Mac mini. long story short I sent it back to crucial 6 weeks later still no return no refund .. they never contact me . I’m doing all the chasing . I’m out of pocket and no sssd .. absolutely fuming . my trusty Samsung t7 still going strong with out a glitch .. Amazon if u can do something please contact me . As I have nothing to show for the £280 I paid

Died after just 8 days during file copy. Completely bricked, 3.5TB data lost... Just don't buy!

Needed a fast SSD external drive to use as an archive to replace a really slow and noisy spindle drive. This fits the bill perfectly. I've always had good experiences with Crucial products (SSD and memory) so didnt hesitate to buy this at the price. Positives: Fast, quiet and small. Works perfectly with my MacBook Pro and is hidden away behind the external monitor. Because of the size I can take either with me when I travel which is massive advantage compared to having to access the old drive using Synology VPN and jumping through a lot of hoops and even then getting slow performance over the internet. Negatives: None other than it is black and small and disappears into my laptop rucksack and can be difficult to find. This is not really the product's fault! All in all very happy

Very good, well made, fast external SSD. Easy to use, tiny in size, has a USB C connection and a short cable included. The capacity is good but they are quite expensive. I would recommend these though as had no issues and have two now.

I would strongly advise avoiding the Crucial X10 Pro 4TB SSD for any kind of professional work. I’ve now had two of these drives fail within a year. The first drive died after just four months. Crucial support would only offer a replacement after I returned the failed unit, meaning I would lose all the data stored on it. As a video professional, that simply isn’t feasible — the drive contained client footage worth thousands of pounds. I had to purchase another SSD (different brand) out of my own pocket just to recover what I could. Crucial replaced the first unit, but the replacement drive has now also failed in under a year with corrupted APFS structures and I/O errors. Once again, Crucial refused to issue a refund and would only replace the drive on receipt, despite this being the second failure of the same model. Thankfully, this time I had enough spare storage to recover most — though not all — of the data before the drive became unreadable. Amazon were incredibly helpful and agreed to refund the purchase. After two identical failures in such a short time, I can’t trust the X10 Pro line for professional use. Reliability is critical in video production, and these drives have proven too risky. I won’t be using Crucial SSDs again in a professional capacity.

Got mine is Jan 2025, it's now almost November and I've had no issues. I use the drive plugged into a 40GB usb-c port and game off it without issue, I would have gone for something faster but figured 2000MB/s was all I needed. I dual-boot into Bazzite and because all my games are stored on this drive, I don't need to reinstall anything, as long as I add the drive as a Steam library location everything is just picked up. I'm thinking about getting another one if the price goes down during the sale period.

Very compact and light. Great capacity and high speeds. Instantly works out of the box with most operating systems due to the exFAT format. Super simple, no frills. All you need and nothing you don't.

Perfect for students. I used this in college, it has a sleek and minimal kind of design, the cable is quite short but if you have something like double sided tape then you can stick this to the back of your laptop screen and it's seemless as it is very lightweight. Plenty of starage for any work documents, project and even games if you would like, it's compatible with most things and feels quite adaptible to be used in different scenarios.

Was soll ich sagen? Ich habe mehrere externe SSD-Festplatten oder Sticks, aber keine ist wie diese...^^ Superschnell, supergroß, superzuverlässig, supercool (im Sinne von kühl bei der Arbeit), superklein! Voraussetzung ist natürlich, dass das Motherboard den richtigen USB-Anschluss unterstützt, damit die volle Geschwindigkeit auch erreicht werden kann.

Lo compré porque necesitaba un disco rápido y con espacio para juegos (tener un Skyrim modificado de 1 TB o experimentar otras listas de mods/juegos que necesiten acceso rápido, entre otros archivos de juegos, requería esta mejora). Literalmente, ¿para qué mentir? También lo compré porque edito video y es muy rápido.
