I have a leak where my tranny meets my engine I believe it’s a “lower rear seal leak “ ? Will this be effective for that type of leak ?

Depends on how damaged the seal is but this does work very effectively in most cases

Can you use this with any kind of oil?

I use it in my 2004 F150 which calls for a 5W20 weight oil. The newer cars have a 0W10 or therabouts requirement. Some of these 'oils' are synthetic. Lucas is a 'thickener' and increases the viscosity of the oil in your vehicle - if your vehicle calls for a 0W10 or in that area I'd be a bit cautious about using anything that increases the viscosity in your vehicle's cranckase. Especially in cold weather. 0 viscosity 'oils' provide almist instant lubrication in cold weather - higher viscosity oils need to warm before they flow easilyto provide the needed lubrication.

How much Lucas oil stop engine can I put in to the engine

According to the label you put 20% of your engine capacity. (1 quart of Lucas oil to 4 quarts of engine oil).
