Saved me $3k for a new DPF at the RAM dealership!!!
Wow! Just wow! First off this is an unsolicited review and I don’t typically write reviews but felt like I had to for this product. Without warning my check engine light came on and a message came on the dash of my 2023 Ram 2500 with the 6.7 Cummins Diesel that stated “Exhaust Filter Full / Reduced Power/ See Dealership” I have 86k miles on my truck currently but I have an extended warranty. Unfortunately, The DPF was not covered by my policy so the dealership gave me a quote of $3100 to replace the DPF. Like most people I don’t have $3k laying around for repairs so I started researching. I initially was going to take the DPF off myself and take it a big truck shop to have it professionally cleaned. But that runs about $400 and would take me most of the day to pull it off and then travel to and from the shop for cleaning so I did some research and came across this product. Both this Lucas product and Archoil had great reviews but I’m already familiar with Lucas and have used their other products for years as a mechanic so I decided to give it a try and see. I ended pouring the entire 64 oz. bottle in the fuel tank with a full tank of diesel which is approximately 30 gallons of fuel. I believe they recommend 1/4 of that but I had a completely clogged DPF and the bottle says that it won’t hurt if you use to much so I went ahead and poured the entire bottle in the fuel tank. That being said. You want to use a funnel. I have a decent diagnostic tool so I was able to clear the codes and do a stationary regen which took right an hour. At which point it then said to drive the truck for 15 minutes without stopping and starting so it can read the pressure coming in and out of the DPF so basically take it out on the highway which I did. After a minute or two of driving it started to regen again. I drove it for approximately 30 miles at which point the regen had completed and my DPF gauge read 0% full! I drove it another 20 miles home and it barely went up to 10 or 20% full! That being said I’m going to make the unsolicited claim that this product does in fact work and it saved not only $3100 and or $400 plus a days worth of time energy for about an hour on the scanner and doing a stationary forced regen and then another while on a test drive! So for 2 hours of my time and only $50 for this product I’m back on the road and able to let my truck work for me again! Thank you Lucas Products! I will continue to use this product for DPF maintenance moving forward!

It Works and Increases MPG
In have a 2016 Nissan XD with the 5.0 diesel with a 27-gallon fuel tank. One Sunday about a year ago I went to my local Pilot station and filled up with diesel, on my way home my truck went into limp mode and shortly after showed a "DPF Filter Full" fault. I was able to limp it home and got on the internet to search for a fix and several people said to use this product. I needed the truck for work Monday, so I got a 16 oz bottle (treats 30 gallons) from my local auto parts store. I poured it in the fuel tank and went for a drive within 10 minutes the limp mode disengaged and within 30 minutes the "DPF Filter Full" went out and the truck has run great ever since! When I bought the truck in 2019 it had 28,000 miles on it and I could get 19.5 MPG on a trip to visit my dad since then the MPG for the same trip had gotten down to 17.8 MPG (the month the incident). I have been told by several diesel mechanics that this is normal with the DPF filter exhaust system that they start clogging up and the MPG starts going down and the only way to fix it is to replace the filter ($$$) or take it off the truck and clean it ($$). I am now buying this in the 64oz size since it is now over $20 for the 16oz and I am putting16oz in at every 4th fill up. Since I have been using this my MPG for that same trip is now 20.2MPG and the only thing I have done differently is added the LUCAS Deep Clean Diesel! Not only that but the truck feels more powerful and runs smoother.

I Try it once
Too expensive, not even sure if it does what it’s claiming to do for your filters

Superior Cleaning Abilities!!!! Outstanding Product!!!!
This is the absolute best stuff to clean out the DPF system. I go from about 250miles between regens to about 400ish miles which is about what I got when my 2022 Silverado 3.0L Duramax got when brand new. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!!
