Easy to use for stroke patients
My therapist recommended this over door pulley for my post stroke spasticity in my affected hand and arm. It works great. At first it was a little painful but it has eased with continued use. Just donโt push it. The soft foam sling for the wrist is adjustable. It is easy to put over the affected hand and then adjust it. I use 10 times a couple times a day as instructed by therapist. The sooner you use it after a stroke the better. If you have shoulder subluxation talk to your therapist before using. I would definitely buy again.

The shoulder pulley helps with the rotator cuff pain. It is also a good type of exercise for body
The shoulder pulley helped me with the reduction of shoulder pain and increased the shoulder's flexibility and mobility. This is a very good and practical product and i highly recommend to people who deal with rotator cuff tear issues, and lack of shoulder mobility. It is important to practice with the shoulder pulley every day or every other day once the pain subsides. I found several videos on you tube of the RangeMaster Shoulder therapy that helped me with the shoulder recovery. Great product and low cost. The RangeMaster Shoulder pulley is a very helpful product and it can be used from time to time even after the shoulder pain subsides. The RangeMaster shoulder pulley is also a good type of exercise for the whole body and mind.

Helpful for muscle spasticity
I was specifically looking for a door pulley like this one, for a friend who has partial paralysis and muscle spasticity. I needed something that only requires one hand to grip onto a handle, because the other hand is impacted by the poor working muscles. This item worked perfectly: it is especially helpful because it was the only 1 listed that does not have 2 handles, but 1 handle and 1 loop, for 1 fully functioning hand to pull up on a hand that can not grip a handle very easily. It almost seemed like it was specifically made for people with my friend's condition, and I greatly appreciate that.

Great item for an OT tool-kit
As a home health therapist, sometimes I have to purchase items out-of-pocket for patients. This was a great investment to put in my home health tool kit. It worked well for my patient who had had a stroke and could not grip a normal pulley handle

Why was this so hard to find?
This arm pulley was a great find. The padded loop with the slider on the top worked great. This was exactly what we needed for my brother to do his range of motion exercises. I'm so glad someone mentioned it on the CareLiving forum started by the National Stroke Association for stroke survivors and their caregivers My brother had a stroke that affected his right side . We tried a glove that had velcro straps to connect his hand to exercise equipment handles since he can't grip; however, he also can't keep his fingers straight so he couldn't slide them into the glove either. We'd hoped to use it to work out at the Y on their arm exercise equipment The pulley is quiet. It fit over the bathroom door and doesn't slide while he's working out. He can work the slider to make it tighter or looser as he works out. He can raise his arm as much as possible since he controls the pulley and can stop if it gets too painful. And it's something he can do himself which is great for him feeling independent again. It came on the day we expected. There was no shipping charge (an unexpected surprise). A couple of times his hand has slid out of the loop when the slider moved up. Not sure what happened there but something to watch out for. That's the only negative and it's not a biggie at all.
