A Great Tool!
I love this! It is a bit heavy. It works great and I was able to trim a lilac tree and shrubs with one battery charge and without standing on a stool in order to reach the middle of our shrubs. Definitely a bargain as I paid someone $100. In the past to trim shrubs around the house. It paid for itself in one cutting!

Nice deal at $120 - works as advertised, handy around the yard
I've used it once around the yard and it does the job well. Nice having the extension, the battery lasts and it was easy to set up. It is a bit heavy, but that could also be I'm a weakling. I would recommend buying.

Quality at a Great price
I am a Mikita guy, but decided to get this hmextended hedge trimmer since the Mikita was double the price and no battery. Figured I might not use it too much. We'll received it and it is pretty amazing. Cuts 1/2" limbs with ease. Extended I could trip a good 12 to 15 ft off the ground. Next doo is bunch of trees and vines I could never reach to trim. Now, a piece of cake. It is somewhat heavy - but that is consistent with the quality. Plus, it works fast, well worth it! I don't do reviews often, this was such a good value, couldn't pass it up.

Worked for me--and it was cheap!
I needed a hedgetrimmer with some reach. I wanted to buy the Ryobi as I have tons of their stuff and a boatload of batteries, but it was more than I wanted to spend and had some issues in the reviews. This one didn't have issues that I found to be credible--and it was cheap, so I bought it. Wow, it worked great. I'm still astonished. Is this thing perfect no, but for the money? It's 5 stars. Let me address a couple things I read in the other reviews: 1.) Battery life--no issues. It came fully charged and I hacked an azelea hedge that is over 40' long. Did both sides and the top and had battery life left to trim a few bushes elsewhere on the property. 2.) Weight--reasonable. It's not superlight, but it has to be strong enough to do the job. You're not going to get super light weight for about $100. Be reasonable If you're still reading and possibly rating my review (based on my other reviews) please understand I pretty much only write 2 star or 5 star reviews. Meaning I only waste my time on really good or really bad products that I either want people to consider or products I want to warn them away from. Buy this one if you need a cheap, high performing middle tier tool.

First time using it and it makes horrible clicking sound and smokes. Scared of it now.
I am giving this 1 star because it seems fairly well made. However, it is pure junk! I bought this back in February and didn't get to use it until March a couple of days after the return cutoff because I was in the hospital. While using it for the first time, it makes a horrible clicking sound and is smoking! Scared to use it! Contacted the seller and as of today, April 4, 2026 have not heard a word back from the seller. I now see that the hedger is no longer available. Geez... I wonder why? I may be out of $111.00 but I have learned to never buy "any" MZK products ever again!

Fantastic Trimmer. Finally free from a cable!
This trimmer has been fantastic. I have some really large bushes in my yard and this has made my life so much easier. I was concerned about buying a batter version of this because I didn't think the battery would last long enough to do one bush. Well, I can do my whole yard without it running out and I now don't need a ladder to do 90% of my trimming and when I do need a ladder, it's much easier. It really cuts through the branches very well. I love this unit.

If I had it to do over again I'd get a gas trimmer because of weight balance
This battery powered hedge trimmer, since I don't have a ton of high hedges to trim, worked okay for me. There are reviews saying it's heavy, others saying it's not heavy. It is actually not that heavy, but I found that after 15-20 minutes use, it got heavy. Most all the weight is at the cutter end. If I had it to do over again, I'd bite the price bullet and get a gas powered trimmer, simply because of the balance. The balance of these battery trimmers, not just this one but all of the ones I see, put the motor at the trimmer end of the pole, and the handle end with the battery is light. That means a LOT of stress on your arms and shoulders to hold it up for very long. They provide a neck strap to support it, but I never found that very useful, but possibly I just didn't figure out how to set it up right. If they did a redesign, where the battery and the motor were on the handle end of the pole, and just the cutter on the business end, I think the balance would be way better it would be way easier to use. The batteries are easily charged, and they last plenty long enough. For short time occasional use, it should be okay. If I had a big hedge row, I'd get a gas trimmer, and not even consider a battery type.

Extension worked well
I ordered this pruner this fall specifically for the extension so I could trim my California Lilac hedge (about 35' long, 7' tall) which missed its after bloom prune. It worked exactly as I had hoped and allowed me to do it rather than hire someone which would have been more expensive than the cost of the pruner. I am a 72 year old woman with bad shoulders, and as others have said the pruner is somewhat heavy, especially extended. To accommodate this, I trimmed the sides one day, and the top another day without any problems. I don't think an able-bodied person would have any problem using it to do the full job in one go. Even though the extension telescopes down, I feel this pruner would be too long and awkward to use for pruning smaller bushes. Fortunately, our HOA prunes those, but if that should change, I would buy a smaller pruner. Since I bought this to trim that tall hedge, I'm totally satisfied with my purchase.

MZK 20v hedge trimmer
Easy to put together. Not light but the shoulder strap provided makes it easy to use. Works as described. 2 batteries is ideal.

Review of this item.
For the price, you canโt expect too much. Itโs ok, does what it needs to, the only downfall is the charging time for the battery. It takes three hours to charge a single battery. It is light, and easy to use.

Great value for money 5 Stars from me.
Value for money, works really well, cut all my hedge on one battery with no sign of it running out. I did originally buy a Black n Decker cordless for ยฃ120 which I sent back as the motor burnt out are 1 minutes use. So I was very pleased with the MZK, works a treat.
