These slate coasters have a machined flat face, so glasses and mugs sit neatly without wobble; the base has four rubber pads to protect your tabletop, while the edges have a neat, rough edge. They are stored stacked within a metal wire stand, which again is good quality. I've bought several, one for each table, and I highly recommend them!

These coasters get the job done but suffer from major inconsistencies when it comes to the size of the flakes taken off the edges. Most are aesthetically pleasing but a few are so large that they make the coaster appear broken instead of rustic. The stand doesn’t not feature any padding underneath, making it prone to scratch any surface that it’s laid down onto, which means the you will either need to use a coaster underneath the stand or some other form of padding. The coasters themselves are padded to protect the surface they rest on.
