Is this sulfate free, like the shampoo? Is it safe for color-treated hair?

In response to your question and other answers, Methosulfate is not a true sulfate, it is a non-sulfate derived from rapeseed oil. It is curly girl approved and provides extra slip in your shampoo. Thus, this shampoo IS sulfate free.

has anyone used this as a co-wash? It is listed in the instructions that this conditioner can be used this way.

I have tried using it as a co-wash, but i have fine hair so it was too heavy. I think for someone with curly, thick or coarse hair it would work very well. I used to use the Carols Daughter Rosemary Mint Clarifying Conditioner as a co-wash and it works great but I think has been discontinued.

How is the pump unlocked?

I had a hard time making the neck pop up so I can pump it on my palm, I have arthritic hands.............the cap should be re-designed so it's user friendly for people of all ages who enjoy this product.

I bought it and it wasn’t fake from what I could see. My hair felt very soft after using so if it is fake it’s a good one lol
