a quality product from hippo
I bought a Hippo rectangular fabric, with 95 percent sun and uv blocking capacity, after consulting with the business owner Shiva. I communicated that my requirement was for protecting my car from the fury of the monsoon in Mumbai. His advise was to go in for this fabric, which was 95 percent impervious to water. While the car doesn't stay totally dry, it's well protected from the rain onslaught, leaves and bird droppings. The fabric is sturdy, and allows gusts of wind to pass thru, without tearing. A good buy... we have successfully gone thru a cyclone and torrential rain. I purchased a 16ftx12ft rectangle, with sturdy ss hooks. Indications: should last a couple of monsoons more. The rope sent with the package looked substandard, tho.

Its sturdy and durable but it's NOT water proof
I have installed it. It's not water proof at all. Trust me. The photos shown in the website, seem like it's in the Middle East. For use in India, I can assure you, there is no way its suitable for our kind of tropical rains. It provides shade. That's all. Not suitable as a car garage extension. It's ok. But did not meet my requirements.

Itโs a nice product Quality is amazing Sun blockage is good Installed in march no issues till date, it will easily survive the season Looks really good Do not leave it loose. Keep it tight from all the corners Avoid edgy surfaces or put sponge on wall edges so it wonโt get cut Awesome buy!
