I was immediately impressed by the high quality of the mount. I was expecting something a bit more flimsy but it's quite sturdy and it looks and feels premium. My original plan was to use it only to mount my phone to my monitor for meetings since that video quality is way better than my webcam but I was also impressed by how it looks as a phone stand. I liked that you can also remove the magnetic portion and use only that for a thin monitor like the one on a macbook. On that same note, I loved that you can use a MagSafe charger instead of the magnet that comes with it so your mount now doubles as a charger, genius! In general I highly recommend it

This SODI Continuity Camera Mount is really well made - compact, easy to travel with, and the MagSafe connection is strong and secure. It attaches solidly to both a laptop or monitor, and for those who regularly use their iPhone as a webcam, it’s an excellent solution. I’ve stopped using it, not because of any issues, but because when I’m home I use a dedicated webcam, and when traveling, I often need to read messages on my phone during calls, which isn’t possible when it’s mounted. If this fits your workflow, you’ll find it amazing - it’s a great, well-designed accessory.

I needed a webcam, but while searching, I realized that none offered better quality than my iPhone 16 Pro. That’s when it hit me—why not look for an iPhone mount for my monitor instead? Sure enough, I found a few options, and this one stood out because it could also be used on my MacBook Air. When I received the mount, I was immediately impressed by the high quality, from the packaging to the product itself. It’s incredibly sturdy and sits perfectly on top of my monitor. The magnet securely holds my rather heavy iPhone 16 Pro with no issues. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase!

I really wanted to like this mount. Looks great on paper with multiple functions but the biggest downside for me was the weight. I bought this mostly for the continuity camera function but once you put this on top of the screen for your mac and then mount your iPhone, it overwhelms the hinge for the screen. Super easy for it to either bend all the way back or forward and losing the mount or phone or both. Hard to get just the right balance. On top of that, it wasn't very secure to the screen. Meaning, there was too much play with just the mount "attached" to the screen. As soon as I tried to make any little adjustment, it just wanted to come off. It's well made, has a lot of uses and functions but for what I primarily wanted it for, it just didn't work. YMMV Edit: I upped my stars to a 3 due to the fact that SODI reached out and offered a full refund. I'd have to say that's pretty impressive as it shows they stand behind their products whether it works for you or not. I will definitely check out their other items for this simple fact. It's nice to see this type of response from a company.

The iPhone has a much better camera than the one built into the Apple Studio display, particularly in low light. This works great for Zoom calls. It's heavy, but if it's staying at home, that's a good thing as it will likely last and I think it must be heavy to be stable with a big phone, like my iPhone Pro-Max (the biggest iPhone). It's not too heavy to lug around, but there are lighter options available. The stand is adjustable and I found I could point it as I wished. It can easily be transported to the living room TV for a facetime call with family as well (i.e. screen cast to the TV). I should also mention that the stand comes in very nice packaging, making this a good choice for a gift. Recommended.

Works perfectly well! My IPhone gets connected to my Mac and this helps me to make it an great webcam! Highly recommended

I’ve had this product for about a year now and can say that it has been solid. It’s built well, albeit a little bulky. Today, however, I was surprised to find what looked like black ink leaking out from the magnetic puck piece. I looked into it to find that magnetic liquid is sometimes used in something like this along with an actual magnet. I’m assuming that’s what the ink substance is. It did stain my hands but I somehow managed to keep it from staining my clothes and bag. I’m a bit disappointed to find that the sealant failed after only one year. Your mileage may vary. 2 stars for the sealant failure. Otherwise a really good product. **UPDATE** It's worth saying that once I wrote this review, the seller quickly connected with me to see how they could make it right. I appreciate a company that stands by their product and offers good customer service so I am changing my review to 5 stars.

Ich nutze die Halterung inzwischen regelmäßig an meinem MacBook und finde das Konzept wirklich stark umgesetzt. Das Smartphone wird magnetisch befestigt und kann dadurch perfekt als Webcam genutzt werden. Gerade im Vergleich zu vielen eingebauten Laptop-Kameras ist die Bildqualität damit natürlich deutlich besser. Besonders praktisch finde ich das für Videokonferenzen, Calls oder generell fürs Arbeiten im Business-Alltag. Aber auch für Content-Aufnahmen ist das Teil echt hilfreich. Ich habe die Halterung sogar schon genutzt, um meine DJI-Kamera draufzustellen und YouTube-Videos aufzunehmen. Der große Vorteil dabei: Die Kamera sitzt genau mittig vor dem Bildschirm. Dadurch kann man hinter der Kamera direkt Skripte, Notizen oder andere Inhalte offen haben und schaut trotzdem fast direkt in die Kamera. Für Videos wirkt das deutlich natürlicher und professioneller. Preislich vielleicht nicht das günstigste Zubehör, aber meiner Meinung nach sinnvoll investiert. Hält bei mir seit längerer Zeit problemlos und wirkt insgesamt wirklich gut durchdacht.

El producto llegó un día antes de lo anunciado, en una caja sólida, sellada y en buen estado. El producto trae un manual, que en realidad no es tan necesario, pues es sencillo de usar, pero se agradece que se tomen la molestia. Es de un material bastante sólido y pesado para que soporte el teléfono celular. Se adapta perfecto al monitor y también a la pantalla de mi MacBook Pro. La parte que descansa sobre la pantalla es de una goma suave para no rallar la pantalla.
