Can I buy a protective cover that fits?

There wasnt one offered when I bought it last year so I think it is unlikely.

Do you need to treat the wood with anything or is it ready to go?

No treatment necessary. It's ready to go. I have had mine coming up for 2 years now and the wood and pockets are both still absolutely fine. Very pleased with the item.

What is the H W & D in millimetres of the individual planting pockets?

Each cell is 175mm×260mm and 140mm deep. There is a total of 8 cells, but as the cell base is not lined, a small amount of the planting area is lost to the lining net. Note the wooden box on the lower shelf does not come with it.

Do the lining nets come with it or were they bought separately and if so where from? Thanks

The liners come with the unit. A good buy.
