I bought this card to use with my old Sony camcorder and it works great, but it took a few extra steps. At first, I didn't see the card in Scenalyzer after installation, so I had to go to the website and download the legacy driver. It still didn't show, so I had to go to device manager and change the card properties from Texas Instruments to 1394 FireWire card and then it finally showed up It still took a bit of a cable wiggle to show up, but it mostly worked great, so I'm guessing it's a port thing or cable thing. Overall, after the troubleshooting finally got it working the way I wanted to to. I got this one because I heard a TI chipset is what I want.

The capture card itself worked perfectly fine and appeared on the device manager. However, the FireWire cable it arrived with did not work. I even tried installing a legacy driver for it, but there was no saving it.

Windows 11 recognized the card as a Texas Instruments 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller on startup. It worked out of the box AND came with the 4pin to 6pin cable which gets it a solid 5 stars

Installed on my Asus ProArt Z790-Creator WiFi with an i7 12th Gen. I produce and mix a lot of musical recordings with a lot of tracks using my Tascam DM-4800. I needed a PCIE firewire cad to use with my DM-4800 as a controller. I have always known that that the PCIE 1394A Firewire 400 Card with a Texas Instrument chipset works well with the DM-4800. And that's a true statement. So far, all is good.

Snapped right in to an old Dell Optiplex 5050 that had to be tweaked to support Windows 11. Use to connect to Sony digital video camera. Drivers worked, I'm in business.

Did not work in my Windows 10 Lenovo K450 machine machine. The machine wouldn't boot no matter which PCI slot it was installed in or if I added SATA power or not. There were no options to change in the BIOS for this (looked per the manufacturer's suggestion). I debated rating it as a 1 since I know technology happens and this could be just one of those incompatibilities that can't be worked around with the different manufacturers. However, it didn't work and I need a firewire card to extract video from an old Sony Camcorder.

Plug and play on Windows 11 to get my old M-Audio ProFire 2626 interface working. Did not work in the PCI-e x1 slot on my Asus x470 motherboard but it did work in the secondary PCI-e x16 slot. That might be my PCI-e BIOS settings but to be considered if you only have an x1 slot.

Ayant changé d'ordinateur récemment, ma nouvelle machine n'avait pas de port firewire...semble t'il que c'est désuet. Avec l'installation de la carte firewire, je peux à nouveau transférer mes vidéos enregistrées sur mon caméscope mini dv. Détection automatique dans Windows 11 sans installation de pilotes supplémentaires.
