The lights failed after a couple of hours. Unit was replaced FOC and this one seems to be OK so far.

Have just ordered a third one of these bulkhead lights. They are easy to install, with reasonable diy skills; I used them as a replacement for a rusted-out 100w bulkhead light. Despite the tiny 8w input, installed to the soffit board under overhanging eaves on a bungalow, they give more and better distributed light than the original. Living in a country area with no nearby lighting, they are ideal for use for all-night lighting for security purposes (we have teamed them up with 10w led pir floodlights). Cannot comment on durability long-term, but they seem robustly constructed and well thought out. A bargain at the price!
