This is made out of aluminum and looks very nice. It works very good for making dowels out of what ever material you want. It’s safer then other ways I have seen.

This takes a little practice to work well, but overall is a good little tool. However, I reckon the design might be improved by changing the cutting blade configuration from a flat cut to a step cut.

I tried this device in the hopes that it would allow me to make dowels of the same wood. My project contains. The idea looks good, but the implementation is a disaster. If you don’t hold a drill, extremely steady and at a perfect angle, you wind up with huge variations in the diameter of the dowel. I even tried it using a drill press hoping that would solve the problem but I still wound up with sixteenths and 8th inch variations in the diameter.

Nice product! As you can see from the video it works pretty good! It’s nice to have all the sizes in one item. This will work really good when I start my table.
