I used the Wadities Gold Leaf Gilding Adhesive Set to finish the edges of a custom floral wall panel, and the results were absolutely beautiful. The adhesive went on smoothly, dried evenly, and held the gold leaf perfectly in place—even over textured wood. How I Used It I applied the adhesive around the wooden border of my 18x18 rose and sunflower wall piece. The wood had slight natural texture, but the adhesive grabbed onto it cleanly without pooling or leaving streaks. Once it turned tacky, the gold leaf sheets adhered instantly and without slipping. This is one of my favorite gold leaf products. I've bought it a couple of times now. I use it to give some accent to my acrylic paintings. Even after being sealed with varnish, it keeps its shine. I love that if I put too much, it's not very difficult to paint over it. It does take some time to dry. I recommend letting it sit for a couple of days to cure, if not longer, before applying any type of sealant. It does come with its own, and it works fantastically. I also used it to give some accent to some frames for my paintings. I highly recommend it. The color is beautiful, neither too yellow nor too dull. The glue quality is pretty good, you do have to apply enough of it, though, if not, it dries up, and sometimes it's not sticky enough. The container that the glue comes in is pretty well sealed.

Gosh I have been having fun with this gold leaf. It’s kind of addicting to apply the gold leaf to different things and see how well the foil lies down. I gilded a pair of earrings that had become worn and they look better than new. The glue is very effective, sticks well, the foil is a nice rich gold, and it lasts. The sealant works well too.

My project came out better then I had expected! I am very pleased with the effectiveness of this little kit. Its relatively easy to use, although there is definitely a learning curve. The adhesive gets tacky fairly quickly. The foil itself is probably the most difficult part. Its very fragile once you get it off the paper. I recommend leaving it on the paper and using the paper as a sort of handle for the foil. When I tried to pull the foil off the paper for application it literally just tore apart and crumbled all over my hands. The lacquer is pretty cool too. I like that it adds a bit of protection for all the work it takes to get the gold foil to stuck. Lol. And it doesn't stink up the whole house! The luster is quite brilliant considering this is my first time ever trying this type of thing. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to add gold foil to a project. If you fallow the directions you will be successful!

Easy to use. Great for small projects

works great but gets everywhere it was in my hair not complaining thought that it was funny. Me and my fiance had a good laugh about it everywhere But it does work great bought it for my wedding I used it on bottles that im using as vases for my wedding. If was to use this again I would do it in a garage instead of inside my house. I wasn't to smart there lol but the bottles turned out great. Very easy to use just make sure you wash your brush that your using right after your done using the glue and varnish. Cause it will ruin the paint brushes they give you if you don't. It stuck to the glasses bottles great. Bought some more to finish the rest of the bottles would get again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: As cheap as this kit is I honestly like this stuff more than the expensive fake gold leaf. This stuff is way shinier then the more expensive brand and while some might complain the mess this stuff makes because it flakes like crazy I think that’s what makes it better. The more expensive stuff doesn’t clean off as easy with a brush and often looks rough and messy when you’re done. This stuff cleans of pretty well and because it does the leafing looks more uniform than the other brands. So this will probably be my goto from now on.

first time working with gold leaf and was beautiful results. If your first time please be aware that it is VERY MESSY when brushing off the access gold. I make the mistake of doing it inside first and it was everywhere, beautiful gold everywhere haha. I did the brushing off outside next time.

Un seul bémol légèrement négatif : Le prix, qui me paraît un peu cher, cependant compte tenu : 1/ Du contentement du résultat obtenu, 2/ De l'occupation de mon temps avec passion, 3/ Et de la satisfaction du bénéfice de l'expérience gagnée pour une prochaine réalisation de ce genre, Le cumul de l'ensemble de tous ces éléments positifs et à défaut d'alternatives parallèles, je me réjouis sans autres pensées en savourant principalement ma réussite. Le résultat est formidable si on s’investit pleinement avec patience et application.

Sehr gutes Produkt. Lässt sich gut verarbeiten und hält super. Nur nicht durch die Artikelbeschreibung täuschen lassen. Es ist kein echtes Blattgold. Wäre bei dem Preis auch nicht realistisch.
