The perfect razor does exist
My daughter wanted this so I bought it as a Christmas gift. Its heavy and very durable. You couldn't break this. The blades are very long lasting and don't rust. The blades are easy to change and you don't have to have all the blades in, you can make it go from one blades to three blades. Its perfect for sensitive skin and doesn't hold on to skin cells and bacteria after shaving. Its easy to keep clean. The shave is so close on the legs, that my daughter has only needed to shave once every 2 weeks as a posed to every 3/4 days. Honestly its the perfect razor for anyone.

Perfect Razor for a Smooth, Safe Head Shave!
I've tried several safety razors over the past few weeks, searching for that perfect combination of smoothness, closeness, and comfort, especially for head shaving, and I’ve finally found it in the Leaf Razor. Right out of the box, the quality is immediately apparent: solid construction, beautifully designed, and the chrome finish adds a touch of class. Unlike traditional safety razors, the Leaf Razor’s pivoting head adapts seamlessly to the curves and contours of the scalp, virtually eliminating cuts, nicks, and irritation. The multi-blade setup is great; you can load one, two, or three blades, depending on how close and aggressive you want your shave to be. I find three blades perfect for my head, delivering an impressively smooth shave every time. Cleanup and blade replacement are simple and hassle-free, making maintenance easy and cost-effective. If you shave your head and have struggled with traditional safety razors, the Leaf Razor is worth the investment. It’s the best shaving experience I’ve had, bar none. Highly recommended!

Love this razor
I actually own two of them, one I use for travel. It is sleek and works very well. I am going to attempt to split into pros and cons! Pros: The razor is a great design to hold, and seems to need very little effort to achieve a great shave. The razor blades themselves are small but mighty and last longer than the brands that’s seem to be so disposable these days. And the replacement cartridges are so expensive. This razor is easy to fill with the blades and they last and last. Plus I really love the color choices. They are shiny and look great. Cons: From my experience you have to prepare your legs (or whatever is to be shaved) beforehand so that you can rinse and dry your hands BEFORE you pick up the razor to shave. The weight of the razor (which at first is surprising) is heavy compared to ‘normal’ razors and can be very slippery if your hands are wet or soapy. That is one reason I don’t use it in the shower because it’s too difficult to carefully use it in the shower. Plus it should be rinsed clean and then dried to preserve the razor from rust and damage. In my use of this razor there is only the one Con of the slippery handle. All other aspects of it seem to be on the Pro side of things. At least for me! Buy one! You’ll love it!

Better on body than face. Airport security does not like the blades.
I like the quality, design and sharpness of the shaver, but it’s not the best for trimming under the nose or upper lip. Much better for other parts of the body. Also recently flew with it in carry-on luggage and airport security made me remove the blades and discard them, which I guess makes sense, but it was a surprise. Thankfully I was on the way home. I like it enough to order the Twig Razor for my face. Hoping that will work better around my big nose.

Compared to a mach3, works ok
Decided to try something new after 20+ years of refill cartridges for my Mach3. Bought this a year ago and finished the first box of blades shaving my head every 1-2 days. Shave is comparable to Mach3 Cons: Manufacturing tolerances are not tight, see spacing of top blade in photo. I doubt top blade is doing any work. If you misalign a blade, you're definitely going to take some skin off. Large head makes it hard to get tight next to ears and follow contours. Blade retainer magnets already failing to stay in place after only a year. Pros: Blades are cheap and recycleable, generate no plastic trash. After a year I've already broken even on cartridges costs and will be saving money moving forward. Easier to clean/clear than Mach3

Takes a few tries
Take caution if you are used to safety razors. It is a bit unguarded and can leave a few nicks. I recommend finding a good shave cream or lotion and scrub that allows for a seamless shave. That being said, it’s a cost affective investment, the blades are very easy to replace. It shaves well and close. Though some other razor brands I know can shave even closer. There’s less concern about plastic, whooohooo and it’s easier to clean as well.

I finally found a replacement for my Schick Hydro 5 Disposable
I've been shaving with the Schick Hydro 5 disposable razor for nearly 20 years and it has been my go to razor for shaving my head because the blades last a very long time. They usual come in packs of 3 for only $10 and I typically get at least nine months of head shaves out of one pack. Sadly, this particular razor is becoming hard to find because I can no longer find them in stores and I worry that someday I won't be able to purchase them off of Amazon anymore. While looking for alternatives to the Hydro 5, I found out about the Leaf Shave Razor. Initially I did not think I would like going from a five blade razor back to a three blade razor. This wouldn't be the first time I've shaved my head with a three blade razor and there is a reason why I've stuck to five blades. But, the appeal of the Leaf Shave Razor is the fact I clean the blades after each use. That was the one thing that annoyed me about the Hydro 5, trying to clean off the build up on the blades. I was concerned about the handle design because others have mentioned it can be slippery to hold especially if your hands are wet. However, with the way I hold the razor when I shave my head this doesn't seem to be an issue. Others have also warned that it can be easy to nick you scalp especially if you have moles or other imperfections in the skin. I suppose since I've been shaving my head for nearly twenty years that I've mastered the technique and the design of this razor is almost identical to the Hydro 5. I didn't even notice the weight difference that others mentioned switching from a plastic razor to a metal razor. As for the shave itself, the Leaf Shave Razor seems to shave just as well as my Hydro 5 and in some ways even better. When trying to shave the hairs off the back of my neck sometimes Hydro 5 doesn't get the tiny hairs no matter how many times I pass over them. What I like about the Leaf Shave Razor is that it shaves those hairs without any issue. I especially like that I can either shave with the grain or against and it still shaves the hair. Since I shave primarily with my right hand this is very useful for getting those hard to shave spots where I'm not able to shave effectively against the grain. My only critique of the Leaf Shave Razor is that I wish the blades themselves were more secure when installing them, particularly when you install the first blade because it can shift out of position when trying to install the other blades. I understand this issue has been fixed with the Leaf 2 Shave Razor but I definitely prefer this design to the Leaf 2 because it is so similar to the Hydro 5. I do not need to adjust my shaving technique. Overall, I have finally found a replacement for the Hydro 5. I'm glad I was able to get my hands on one since this design has been discontinued and replaced by the Leaf 2.

the Leaf razor is incredible
I just had my first face shave with the Leaf razor and it is amazing. Not a single cut on the first use of a brand new razor. I did follow the instructions that were in the box. I would recommend this razor to anyone, even at the higher price. This would make a great first (and likely last) razor for an adolescent boy. Even at the higher price, being able to use non-proprietary blades will save far more than the razor costs.
