Amazing device, the sound is great. Battery life is just ok. Use the recommended software for playing music.

The V6 performs very well, but I was disappointed to learn that—despite every review’s mentioning an included protective case, and the product images displaying it—the case was neither included, nor is it, at this time, available for purchase anywhere. TempoTec has not yet responded to my inquiry. The “glass sandwich” design makes me nervous without some kind of case.

My tempotec v6 died after a couple of months. I tried everything to get in touch with customer support and nothing, zilch, nada!!!

I purchased the TempoTec V6 directly from the seller to take advantage of an introductory sale they were offering. As of the writing of this review, I've had it for one month and have used it daily without any problems. I previously owned several Sony and Sandisk MP3 players, as well as a HiBy hi-res DAP model which I returned twice for poor WiFi and blutooth performance (dropping connection frequently). On receiving the V6, I immediately configured it for my WiFi and used setup to download and install the latest firmware version. Paired with my mid-priced cans and IEMs the sound of this DAP is fantastic, rendering my FLACs and streamed hi-res content via Qobuz with clear and textured bass, rich and organic midrange, and natural and expansive treble. It easily drives my most sensitive IEMs up to full-sized headphones without a hint of noise. Blutooth devices and WIFI connect quickly and easily and don't drop signal. With a balanced 4.4mm connection and streaming hi-res content I've gotten about 8 hours of battery life (I recharge at 20% instead of letting it drop to 0%), which is decent. Recharging via a USB 3.1 port on my computer takes about 4 hours, though the advertised 2 hours may be possible using a fast charger, but I haven't tested that. It is slightly laggy when displaying album covers during an artist search, but everything pops up within 30 seconds. It also takes Qobuz about a minute to load. So far, this audio enthusiast is extremely satisfied with his purchase!
