I had a few barriers over the years and they've all had flaws. But this one is by far the best. My car is a Kia Soul and my medium-sized dog likes to sit on the center console and lean on me, so a barrier was needed. It was a tiny bit fidgety to assemble but there are only 4 connections (tube over tube) to be made. Once I got the hang of it, assembly took under 5 minutes. It straps to the front seat headrests and the point where the front seat-back meets the horizontal seat cushion. You can see the buckle but I can't feel it when driving. That took under 5 minutes. Once everything was cinched up tight the performance of the barrier was perfect. No place for my dog to slip around it, full visibility through the rearview mirror (no tubes blocking sight lines!), and most shockingly, no rattles! It is completely silent. I've had it installed for a month now and it has not needed any adjustment or tightening. I'm super happy with it.

This product is amazing! I have a 2020 Subaru Ascent and the Large fits perfect. I first tried the XL and had to return it due to fit. I have used this a handful of times already with my two German Shepards and I'm so amazed with the sturdiness! An added bonus is that it keeps most of their hair contained to the back of my car! Very little is flying around up front with me now. This is so easy to put together, took me maybe 5 minutes to unbox and have it set up in my car. It's easy to take out and store. I can just remove the three middle bars, fold it and store it in my trunk when I'm not using it. I would definitely recommend this product!

I bought this car barrier for my 2003 Toyota Highlander, and it fits really well in the back trunk area. Setup was quick and easy, I had it installed in under 10 minutes. The frame feels sturdy once tightened, and the mesh is strong but still easy to see through. I can clearly see out my rear window and mirrors, so it doesn’t block my vision at all while driving. The mesh also lets air flow through nicely, keeping my dog comfortable during rides. It stays firmly in place, even when my dog moves around a bit. ✅ Pros: - Easy to install - Sturdy frame and tight fit - Doesn’t block rear visibility - Good airflow and visibility for the dog Overall, I’m really happy with it! It keeps my dog secure, doesn’t rattle or shift, and makes car rides much safer and calmer for both of us.

The frame on this car barrier is hideously flimsy. It consists of (1) nine pieces of tubing that you assemble into a single frame, and (2) a mesh screen that is supposed to attach to the assembled frame using velcro straps. The problem is that the nine pieces of tubing have no screws to hold them together. Instead, the idea is that the ends of some of the tubes are tapered. You're supposed to insert the tapered end into the thick end. The mesh screen and velcro straps are supposed to hold the unit taut, in place. But the tubes rotate against each other. They don't stay in place snugly. I bought this contraption for my new Tesla Model 3. Previously, I owned a Prius and used a Bushwacker trunk barrier, which was very similar design-wise, but used screws to connect the metal bars. The result was that the frame was sturdy. Bushwacker sells a competing product (https://www.amazon.com/Bushwhacker%C2%AE-Barrier-Smaller-Restraint-Backseat/dp/B0076A0M6Y) for sedan car cabins. You can see the screws in the photos of the competing product. I had assumed the Snagle Paw product was similar, but it is not. Because of the flimsiness, the frame is also difficult to assemble. I suspect that Snagle Paw feels customers will be intimated by screws; maybe so, but that doesn't matter when the frame won't stay together. I highly recommend opting for the Bushwacker product instead. I simply don't understand the reviews that say the Snagle Paw product is sturdy. I'll be returning this one.

It was easier to install than others I’ve used and it kept my granddog cockapoo out of my lap. He goes nuts in the car so that says something.

I have a GMC Canyon and a 100 lb dog. This works great for both! I didn’t put it all the way to the ceiling on purpose so I could hand him treats. It also manages to fit with the pet hammock in the back. Def recommend!

Easy to set up and install, but my dog is able to sneak around the sides. She is a 64lb lab mix so not small.

I have tried several barriers for my dog walking business, and this is by far the best one. The dogs don’t even bother trying to get into the front seat now! Easy to set up too. I have a Honda Odyssey and it could have been a lil bigger for that, but it would fit perfectly in my sedan or in a crossover. The only thing that could improve is the bars are a lil wobbly and I wish they would be a bit more stiff when set up. But it works great and I love that the mesh really is dog nail proof

Easy installation and fits perfect. I bought this because my pup was always trying to get up front with me. He has pawed the mesh but it's a decent thickness and has not torn. The velcro is quite strong around the bars as well and doesn't come apart

This kept my pets secure while I was driving across provinces while moving. Just docked one star as one of the bars was a bit askew and it was never quite straight.

This is a lifesaver for me! Decided to give this one a go and it's amazing. It fits great, and stops my two 75lb dogs trying to jump into the front and through the Starbucks drive-thru window to relieve me of my snacks. Money well spent.
