Memo to self: Next time cut nails short before putting wetsuit on!

The first thing to note is that the product that arrived was only remotely like the one I thought I was buying! A box arrived that (in spite of what was stated on the outside: one neoprene patch and 2 x 5g tubes of adhesive) contained 5 thick neoprene patches in assorted sizes, a plastic glove and 3 x 5g tubes of glue. (Picture attached). The description in the listing shows a single 30g tube in a blister pack with the 5 patches. In fact, as any bicycle-repairer knows, several small tubes of rubber glue makes much more sense than one big one. Any opened tube of rubber glue will not stay useable for long. Fortunately it seems to do the job intended. The rubber glue is very difficult to handle and apply but, after squeezing away the rapidly-congealing blob at the top, the rest was reasonably useable and effective. I was able to repair several small tears in a wetsuit successfully. The glue dries black and makes a good cosmetic blend with the neoprene of the suit. Only time will tell how durable the repairs are. The patches look as if they would be useful and effective but I haven’t had to use one yet. Worth buying, but be prepared for a surprise package.

It does the job, repairs wetsuit holes and allows for longer life. Cold water would be sealed off again around the damaged parts

Pack contains glue and 5 patches, 2 small, 2 medium, one large (about 7cm I think). As the other reviewers state, they are quite thick 4 or 5mm, a couple of thicknesses would help, the fix is quite obvious on my trisuit. That said, the adhesive does what its supposed to do, sorted out a small nail cut easily, and using the patch was reasonably straightforward, although a small applicator would help (like a wooden nail cleaner to spread in the cut rather than get your fingers covered as it does take a while to get off!) Much better than throwing away a whole wetsuit.

This is a nice kit for wetsuit repairs. I have repaired one hole and one partial tear with it. My only question was which side of the patch to apply glue- one is smooth and one is corrugated. I used the smooth side and that has worked fine.

The packaging was substandard the blister pack was missing and although the tube was unopened and patches present the whole thing was selotaped over with wax paper and for all I knew items could have been missing from the packet. As regards the product itself its seems to have done the job beatifully with all nicks/gashes in my tri-wetsuit seeming to have sealed together beautifully and very easily not tried it in the water yet but look forward to doing so and seeing how the repairs hold!

I've used this product twice now to repair a membrane drysuit & I'm impressed with its ease of use. Quick drying capabilities as long as the clear instructions are followed.

Una pasada de reparador, merece la pena, además, los repuestos que trae de neopreno, para agujeros grandes, van de lujo.

Worked as advertised

These small patches have worked great to hold together seams in my wife’s O’Neill wetsuit that started coming apart due the stress from her pizza-driven expansion (please don’t tell her I said that!!). Easy to apply if you’re careful with the black rubber glue, and ready to use very quickly. Once on they’ve stayed on.
