I really enjoyed this book. I'd never had a dog until just over three years ago when our little miniature schnauzer came into our lives. This book now makes a lot of sense but I think dog owners and those people thinking about getting a dog will enjoy it too. The illustrations themselves are a good enough reason to buy this book, they a truly delightful. A lovely whimsical read in the garden with your dog sleeping next to you is how I'd recommend you would enjoy this book at its best.

What a sweet fun book to buy a kid who has been asking/begging for a dog. A fun book that goes through the basics of what a dog needs, but also does some fun info on different breeds. I love that it had great graphics for things to look for if you think your dog may be acting strange what symptoms to look for and how to have a dog on leash.I ordered a copy and will be gifting it to my niece because I know that she has been wanting a dog for a long time!

No words can express my disappointment of receiving a used book despite ordering a new book. With stains in front and back cover. The book was meant to be a gift for kid.
