Dragonology: New 20th Anniversary Edition (Ology Series)

This is a fabulous looking book. Feels lovely as well. Has lots of little extra bits in it. Bought for my 11yr old lad who is madly into dragons but won't read anything 'wordy'. Has to be a graphic novel. However this arrived at just before 9pm, he started reading it and is now 2/3 of the way through it! Made him put it down as school tomorrow. But it's a huge hit & I'm going to read it after him! Ghostology will be the next one I think as he's into the supernatural as well.

Our daughter had a book, when she was about 6 years old, in which she had to find the hidden dragons. It was a beautifully illustrated book and truly captured her interest. The 'How to Train Your Dragon' series of books, films and now a TV spin-off is a great favourite so this book seemed a good step on. This was recommended to us by a friend whose son was absorbed by this book for a long time, My daughter has not read it yet as it is wrapped up for Christmas. I have had a sneak peak however and I'm impressed. It is a quality book, beautifully put together, detailed illustrations. It reminds me of the old illustrated encyclopaedias I used to pull out of the bookcase at my Grans house, proper books, a world to lose yourself in. Everything you would want to know about dragons.... I don't think our daughter will be disappointed

I love this book, the illustrations are beautiful the text is easy to read, it has textured parts like dragon scales, some pictures and information are hidden behind flaps. The quality is really good and great value

This is an amazing book with beautiful illustrations and brilliant writing. A book for any dragonologists out there! The book came with a slightly dented edge of the cover. While I am not happy about this, it is very small and easily smoothed over, though a small rip is still visible. I imagine this was just a little lack of care on the deliverers part and other books should be fine. So I definitely recommend this to all! Beautifully made cover, lots of fold-outs and envelopes inside, and amazing illustrations and writing.

Such a great book, the detail on each dragon is so well thought through. Good value, keeps dragon enthusiasts entertained for hours.

This book was a very high quality gift for my mother. She's always been a fan of dragons so I thought a book like this would be a great Christmas treat. From what I saw the paper was very high quality and all images had a good resolution. The product is very professional looking and put together nicely. The artwork is very detailed and fascinating to look at, and the accenting and style the book has throughout is lovely. If I were to pick a flaw I would say it can feel a little bit glossy, the front looks like it should be textured but its just a printed page. Overall its a great book for dragon lovers.

I was born in the year of the dragon and as my grandson is half Chinese (my daughter in law is Chinese) I bought this book for him. He loves it and it has fostered an interest in dragons and all mythical creatures and has provided us both with hours of fun as it is packed full of very interesting things and beautifully laid out and illustrated. In fact dragons are now more interesting to him than dinosaurs and that is saying something! Dragons in China are considered to be very important and noble creatures and this book has helped to introduce him to certain aspects of his Chinese culture and has, in a strange way, helped him to feel more at home when he visits his Chinese relatives in China because it encourages him to talk about China.

Good quality. Good to foster imagination.

I bought this book for my grandson, he read it and really enjoyed it. Then I borrowed it and read it as well, great book now I have another connection with my grandson.

Love these books, they are a great fantasy read.
