These aren't really advertised as weather sealed or anything, but the pair of motion sensors I set outside during the Pacific Northwest winter with record rainfall and flooding have performed flawlessly since Day 1 (We're on Day 68 as of this review, all winter, rainy and snowy months). I mounted one onto the power company utility pole by our cars parked out front and one at the very back of my 130 ft yard using magnetic tape to a shipping, storage container. Both sensors work as advertised even though there is probably close to 100' from the farthest transmitter to the receiver inside the house. For a little extra weather protection, I wrapped the seams in electrical tape after inserting quality batteries and have experienced no issues. Solid little peace of mind at a very low cost!

This motion sensor does what it’s supposed, but personally, I believe it’s too sensitive It will pickup movement of wind-disturbed vegetation, a leaf blowing through the air, and sometimes even quick changes in light (e.g., the reflection of passing clouds. Another thing is there are just too many chime choices (up in high 20s and low 30s.). I’m sure you’ll find one you will enjoy listening to. I am using two different chime systems to monitor two different areas of approach. Your choice of volume control is limited - loud, louder, and loudest. Overall, it’s a good buy and very workable.

Mounted the sensor in my mailbox, extended the antenna outside (mailbox is metal) and plugged in the indoor sensor. Wala... now I know when my mail is delivered.

My mom with dementia wanders at night. My dad is a sound sleeper. This works great for her safety. We have a prior purchase set on the stairwell so it is possible to have a different musical alert and we know how to respond.

My first unit (similar but not this brand) lasted from 2017 to 2023, replaced with this unit and it failed after just 5 months (sensor works, light flashes, but chime noise no longer works) and seller says no warranty.Won't be buying this one again

The only complaint I have about this is I wish the tones sounded different. I installed them at the front and back door. It works great, but you never know WHICH door went off...
